Creative, but it does not suit my style. It seems like this person found a use for his Tomb Kings collection after the End Times. Grrr, Imrahil
Why would they need to "find" a use? Tomb Kings continue to have a perfectly legal army in 8th edition WFB. And to paraphrase our esteemed @Lizards of Renown : it's 8th or nothing!
Or rather, 'It's Fantasy or nothing', to reflect other editions various people play. 6th and 7th Edition are still legitimate ways to keep the Tomb Kings alive as well.
I rather think the person instead brought Tomb Kings to 40K as an alternative Necron army, given that the Tomb Scorpion has been altered to be used as a Canoptek Spyder, and several of the models have been given Gauss Blasters to represent Immortals.
Fair enough. Although you wouldn't be able to use (in an official capacity) a good chunk of the really awesome models they introduced in 8th... Warsphinx, Necrosphinx, Stalkers, Necro Knights and to a lesser extent, Bowshapti. That said, I don't disagree, even if I personally think 8th is better.
Yeah, all models are equipped with weapons to represent the Necrons. I prefer the normal Necron models over these conversions though. Grrr, Imrahil
The normal models are certainly going to be more representative, but these are, for better or for worse, unique. They certainly spawned more discussion!
That is indeed the dream. Such levels of glory in the name of Hashut! I suppose I could create a second account and make it happen... (but it just wouldn't be the same as a fully legit and clean trifecta)
