He-Man actually was the center of a lot of controversy even in the 1980s. Though it's hard to summarize in one sentence. Midnight's Edge had a good series breaking down how He-Man and the Masters of the Universe started strong then unwittingly sabotaged itself. Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four. The reboot of the franchise in the early 2000s made a really great show....but the show failed to sell a significant quantity of toys so it quietly fizzled and the franchise fell into obscurity. Then a bunch of woke people got a hold of the franchise a couple years ago and new controversies erupted. Then Kevin Smith may have killed the franchise with his irredeemably crappy Netflix show or he may have merely knocked the franchise into taking another 15 years nap.
which can be the same to have actually killed the franchise. Within 15 years there won't be that much of an audience that eager for a He-man show out of nostalgia.
Normally I dislike drug memes out of general principle (anything making such a self-destructive action normal or funny is anti-social in my opinion), but I have to say that Memes are HIGHLY addictive.
Heck, I still have one in a storage bin in the spare bedroom! Doesn't work, mind you, but I have one.
