The tree seems decent. At least in terms of support. Would like to see more stuff like that. Having it act as wyldwood seems interesting. Wish more support heroes got something interesting like that. Also the spell seems pretty great. As for the deathmaster, isn't this basicly the warscroll for the underworld warband as well? It seems extremely similar.
Which warband? The new one? I remain cautious about how they're handling Skaven. The fact that you have to hide the Deathmaster in a Clanrats or Stormvermin unit to take advantage of the Hidden Killer special rule impedes any ability to build an Eshin army outside of taking a Verminlord Deceiver or Grey Seer as your warlord under the current rules (and even then they've made mutant ninja rats woefully lacking and boring to play). Unless this is changing and you no longer need to spam the same two non-hero units over and over, Eshin is realistically going to be stuck as a support unit keyword. My personal take is that Verminus units (Clanrats, Stormvermin, Clawlords, etc) shouldn't impede being able to play a specific clan as its own army. Whether or not that will be a thing in the battletome is up in the air however.
Ah right, forgot the khemist was better as well. The DoK I didn't realize was a generic hero. Thought it was one of the warbands that didn't directly translate. Yeah, same stats, same exploding D3's. Same run and shoot. Meh, I think you might remain dissapointed for a while. Skaven seem to have been reduced to Skryre + clanrats/stormvermin + a handfull of support units from the other clans.
the store breaks fairly often i wouldn't put stock in anything disappearing untill we get told something new is on the way
Oh this definitely isn’t a trump card or anything, Stegadons have been ‘Temporarily out of stock online’ almost around the clock in Australia lately. Just looking out for anything, really. I’m a spoilt space marine player, so I’m used to getting new models
My favorite is how every year since I've joined lustria someone asks if the dread is gonna be discontinued. I tell em treat it like the Dimachaeron it'll be back in stock but not for long.
I don't mind clanrats and stormvermin being a recurring feature in the horde that Skaven armies should be by default - hence my desire for them to remain universal - but my point is that it shouldn't be a crippling affair to be able to field an army as a specific clan with even a couple auxiliary units from others. Even Skryre has this problem, made all the more egregious by the fact that their only battleline units are expensive in either points (Stormfiends) or money (Skryre Acolytes), and neither can really benefit from the faction's horde mechanics at the moment purely due to model count. And let's face it: the only reason anyone takes Skryre units is for the firepower, not the battleline. Then again, it may just be that it's intentionally not worth making dedicated Eshin, Moulder, Pestilens, Skryre, or Verminus Skaven armies outside of small scale games of 500-1000pts, and that everyone should just play Masterclan instead at the braindead 2000pt standard. I don't know. Besides, we've yet to see the Pitched Battle Profile in full. My hope is that they learned a thing or two from when they worked on Cities of Sigmar and don't force Skaven players to give up fielding universal Battleline units just to use other units as Battleline.
Meh. I just want people to stop asking if one of forge worlds most popular aos mini is gonna be discontinued
I'm gonna be real with you man... The FW Dread Saurian is really showing its age. He's so top-heavy with such a weird, skinny little tail that it looks like he would fall on his face if he tried moving too quickly. I think people want a new kit because conceptually, the dread saurian is awesome. A gigantic king-of-the-dinos that towers over everything else on the battlefield? What's not to love? With their newest sculpting tech I think GW could deliver something a lot more bad-ass than what we currently have. Also, resin is horrible to work with and I've heard naught but horror stories from the extra lengths people have had to go to when assembling these brutes.
Ima be real with you since I own 5 of them. It stands up wonderfully to literally any other of forgeworlds aos sculptures. It literally is the most secure mini I have balance wise and base wise other than the rogue idol I have. Unless you're talking like how it naturally looks then yeah I get the top heaviness it has and it's tail reminds me of an iguanas tail There isn't much to assembly you pin it or magnetize it most of the time. My first one I held it in place with my hands. 2nd-4th I pinned and 5th I have magnets. The really nice thing is that it's really easy to paint with how big it is
