GW forgot about this when they wrote the Beastman army books and lore - it would have increased their threat level tenfold
I also forgot to mention that the dam in the pictures is near my home. 1 hour travel by car, then 3 hours hike
Oh man. Good point! They should have had Monstrous Beasts with Strider special rule over any and all terrain (including impassable).
Or even just applied the rule to Gors, Ungors and Bestigors, as they are humanoid goats. To be fair in 6th Edition the former two (and Bestigors if Morghur the Shadowgave was in the army) already had the Raiders special rule (which I've resurrected in my 8th Edition book) which gave them the Skirmishers special rule but also with the ability to count up to 2 ranks in melee among other benefits. All that would really need to be done would be to add in the Spider Riders' Wall Crawler special rule (suitably renamed as they don't crawl as Spiders do) and they'd be able to treat all buildings as open terrain as well. That is actually a very tempting addition (with a points increase of course) that, like Raiders, would help to differentiate the Beastmen as an army from all others and stop them being Chaos Orcs and Goblins. Perhaps though it would just be a good idea to give the rule to a new Gor unit, perhaps based on the Flayerkin from the old Storm of Chaos book as they seem to have been retconned. I don't agree though with allowing the unit to cross all impassable terrain, because being great at climbing cliffs won't protect you from a pool of lava, for instance, but specifically giving the unit the Strider (Cliffs) rule would work.
Alas no, i went there but i was unlucky. Well, the place is known at an international level, tnx to the BBC... so yes, on a national (or even european) scale, i'm pretty near.
Hmm, let me see, things they didn't say in the 80's? Instagram Twitter "I'm going to take a pic with my phone," ooo - Selfie. That's a 90's creation. Hmm... "Harry Potter" anything. 90's creation. Bieber Tide Pods um... "Age of Sigmar." Also, ahem, 5th/6th/7th/8th edition WFB sucks, and 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th/8th/9th edition 40K sucks. In the 80's they were up to WFB 4th edition and 40K wasn't actually a thing yet, it was still Rogue Trader. Didn't become 40K until '93
Omicron is a letter in the Greek alphabet so Classics students and professors would have spoken it every so often even in the 80s. Otherwise spot on. I thought 'selfie' was a 2010s abomination when smartphones emerged with cameras good enough for people to take pics of themselves constantly. Even in the 90s and 2000s mobile phones either didn't exist, were bricks or didn't have a camera so people had to get someone else to take photos with their cameras. 4th Edition Fantasy was in 1992, so that was also after the 80s. Thus in the 80s people didn't even say 'Army Book', because back then Fantasy was just one rulebook with any army able to include units from different races (so long as they were in the same Alignment) without penalty. Other things people didn't say in the 80s doubtlessly include: Social Media Online Forum Beckham Streaming (service) Everyone needs to get a six-pack and waste every non-working hour of their lives down the gym or they're unhealthy losersTM CGI Meme Girlband/Boyband Digital/Satellite TV (C) Rap Contrast Paint Unlimited Makeup Finecast RIP Stan Lee Warhammer Adventures Tablet Wayne Rooney Amazon "FoLlow YouR PAssiONs" EBay Facebook Peppa Pig Take my wife's name outta your f*cking mouth TikTok THE MESSAGE Contactless Greta Thunberg WiFi Obese YouTube "Tattoos and piercings are artistic expressions of the soul" Gif Not forgetting all the vile slang that has emerged in the past couple of decades: Wicked Rad Sick Bangin' Cool Bro Hoe Emoji i cAn HaZ CheEzBurger Swag Gangsta And now I must have myself flogged for spouting so much heresy so needlessly.
