Also finished the Bokhtar equipped with her jetpack. While she looks good, I am not a fan of how the colors turned out on this one as much as I did with the Lasiq. I will have to experiment with the next few.
I think both these guys look great @Warden , but I definitely don’t have your skill set so a higher grade must be possible.
Thanks! They are a batch of Greebo Games Florence Knights, my brother gifted them to me a few months ago and I just got around to finishing them. ... And now a word from our sponsor: ...presenting my new Bretonnian Blitz Bowl team! Not sure why it took almost four months to finish these guys (other than being distracted by Infinity) but I am glad they are done; the models have so much character! Some Knights-of-the-Pitch: Spoiler Spoiler The King Referee, and a kicker: Spoiler Grail Marker:
Many more pictures of course! Here are all five knights I painted up: Peasant Men-at-Arms with shields to block incoming players: Spoiler I used some of the same heraldry as I did for my Lustrian Bretonnians on the first page of this blog! More filthy peasants, these two are a catcher and a thrower: Spoiler Lastly I did a bit more work on my Blitz Bowl board, as you can probably already tell! I changed up the color of the field itself a bit, making the dark green a bit more foresty-colored, and I painted in the endzones a rough checkerboard pattern. The "trapdoors" where the balls magically appear from could use a bit more work, but I am calling the board done for now. Still super happy with how good the advertisements work, I think they add so much to the overall look of the game! Happy early Halloween, and Long Live Bretonnia!
Thanks! Yup, its essentially the same game just streamlined and with about half the team size. My brother and I each split a box of Lizardmen and Necromantic Horrors to play the game; he has a few of the starter sets too. Games go really fast; took us about 10-15 to figure out how to play and a game can be done in as fast as a half hour. Was a big change from the WHFB games we used to play as kids, and it was a lot of fun! Good way to paint a ton of different kinds of models too. If anyone is interested, here are the custom cards I made for the Bretonnian Blitz team, and my previously posted Necromantic Horrors. Spoiler Neither team is playtested yet, but the rules and stats are near identical to the Human Team/Skeleton teams, just with special rules swapped around. Bretonnian Team: The Bretonnian Peasants are a bit weaker than the regular human team, while the knights are slower but have much higher armor to compensate for how snazilly they are dressed. Necromantic Horror Team:
Circling back to Deathwatch today to finish a few minis that have been on my painting shelf since July but never painted
Pictures of the completed Deathwatch marines! Sergeant Caspar of the Angels of Redemption: Brother Oramal of the Consecrators: Brother Asmago of the Blades of Vengeance: Brother Jeramine of the Angels Redeemed: And lastly, Brother Batu of the Void Panthers: While most of the chapters here are Dark Angels successors, the Void Panthers are the (epic) creation of the Bolter-and-Chainsword user Space Wolf, with some mighty influences from both the Thundercats and Conan the Barbarian.
Here are the four Dark Angel successor phobos marines: Also very happy with how my phobos captain turned out: Captain Otomo Kuniyoshi of the Jade Tigers. Chapter symbol. The Jade Tigers chapter were a Golden Daemon winning entry by Mark Donelson back in 2006. Loved how they looked, and always wanted to do a marine from them. I hope it is pretty obvious where the rest of the look of this mini came from Spoiler: more pictures Spoiler: lore blurb Most veterans seconded to the Deathwatch will return to their parent chapter upon completion of their service obligation. This was not the case with Otomo Kuniyoshi of the Jade Tigers, who technically holds the title for longest-serving member stationed at fortress Sentinel IX outside of the dreadnought corps. Records place Otomo’s arrival at the Sentinel IX over 3000 standard Terran years ago, but thanks to a long-forgotten campaign against a time-warping xenos foe he was flung into the future, where he encountered the current state of the Imperium in the 41st Millennium beset on all sides by xenos incursions. Solitary in nature, even to this day, Otomo’s first task as a Kill Marine upon his arrival in the present was on the distant world of Ak-Upsilon LXII. Otomo single-handedly overthrew the planets alien overlords by systematically hacking and slicing his way through their cybernetic horde of insectoid shock troops. His later assignments against the shape-shifting xenos species known as the “Lords of Sorrow” are also well documented in fortress records, as are his exploits against numerous other alien species. Though he has rarely ever served as a member of a kill team, he has recently been tasked with leadership of the 3rd Company in order to bring his vast experience in xenos-hunting to bear in the current campaigns being conducted by the watch fortress. Whole squad of six together. Glad they are finally painted and can be crossed of the "WIP" pile!
Great work on this squad! The captain looks amazing, his dirty robe is spot on (pun intended ) And I really like his power sword Grrr, !mrahil
Some WIP photos for more infinity Haqqislam minis: I am waiting for more matte varnish to show up, but I am happy with how they are looking. Hassassin Barid: Hassassin Fiday: Qapu Khalqi Al 'Hawwa:
Some zombicide heroes with some quick paintjobs, hoping to paint the zombies soon if it is warm enough to prime them. Thanks so much! The deathwatch have been a great fun project I have been working on the last two years
