I'm not sure how much interest there is for this series on the forum, I guess we'll see if I'm the only one. Keep in mind that the poll and tier list are for the original series only, so please exclude the spin-off series: Castlevania Nocturne. Two parts: Poll: What is your opinion of Netflix's Castlevania? Tier list ranking of the Castlevania characters You can complete your Castlevania character tier list HERE Here is my character tier list: Vote, rank & discuss!!
I don’t have the greatest memory of the characters so my ranking is pretty much based on how memorable the characters were to me.
We are honored with a post of @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER ! Somehow it feels pushed by @NIGHTBRINGER himself though Grrr, !mrahil
I saw an episode or two of Castlevania at my friend's house (he's a huge fan of Castlevania). I didn't hate it, but I wasn't particularly enthralled by it. I didn't like it enough to pay money for it. I do not engage in piracy and I haven't paid Netflix a dime since I rage quit after Cuties. That was years ago, Netflix seems to have turned a corner, so I might subscribe for a month or two to catch up on things. They seem to have the best stand up comedy specials. I got another friend I hang out with periodically with two or three times a month who happens to have Netflix. I have been forcing him to watch ATLA for four or five episodes a visit. He has been showing me things he likes in equal measure (usually random Youtube videos). If we get stuck, MAYBE we can give Castlevania a try. We just finished ATLA last week. We'll probably hit Legend of Korra or an actual Japanese anime (he's got several he thinks I should watch).
ATLA > Castlevania > LOK But to each their own. If you've already watched a few episodes of Castlevania and it didn't hook you, then maybe it is not for you.
A second person has voted for "Loved it"! Curious as to who it might be. Care to step forth and be recognized for your good taste?
I decided to create a table comparing my character ratings relative to @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER 's character ratings to see where and by how much we differ. The leftmost column represents the magnitude by which my rating differs from the rating put forth by the Mrs. For example: I rated Lenore "S" tier, while @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER gave her an "A" tier rating. As "S" tier is 1 higher than "A" tier, Lenore falls under "NIGHT RATES HIGHER (+1). Takeaways: For the most part, we don't deviate too much! On average, @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER is more generous with her character ratings (even though, overall, I rate the show more favorably than she does) *as for why I did this... I like tables and data!
