I don’t have carnosaur model yet and I don’t rate it a lot either so I thought, why don’t try a list with 2 oldlords? Unfortunately are both subject to stupidity but I hope that ld 9 would help a bit…

Any suggestion about their combination? I thought a 65 point blade + talisman of protection and the other one on a flank with glyph necklace and dragon slayer sword (eventually can be changed with Giant blade and immune to stupidity)

I would like to play kroxigor instead of terradons but I don’t see how, don’t have enough points (neither removing engine of gods)

Another note, I had prefer cavalry spear on skink chief but I probably prefer him with charmed shield so I just give him a additional hand weapon instead

List looks solid, I would personally never leave home without a skink priest. Arcane Vassal is such a great rule.

I think Ogre Blade is the best weapon for Dragon Hunting duty. Tzunki is also very good, more flexible. Piranha blade is also great for a lone cowboy because you can challenge and get a nice amount of overkill to help break enemy units.

I've been toying with an idea of Saurus Scar-Veteran with BSB upgrade and War banner + Scimitar Of The Sun Resplendent. You get 6-8 attacks from the hero, +2 static Combat Res and attacks from the mount. I think it would be a fun flanker vs low armor targets but sending BSB on a flanking mission feels a bit iffy. Maybe it could work on a carnosaur because of bigger command range.

I can't tell if Piranha is garbage or maybe a little overcosted (but there is nothing between 15 and 65 points in the weapon imo)

It would work much better on a carnosaur because it would now disrupt units . But probably everything is better on a carnosaur:)

Not going to suggest a carno, because you are trying to avoid them, but if I was building cowboys, I would be willing lose a whole unit of skinks if I had to just to buy horned ones for them. Stupidity on your old blood is just so limiting. Too often you will fail a stupidity check at the absolute worst time with the characters that are suppossed to be you damage dealers, especially the one with dragon slaying sword. Like what a waste that would be to be set up to kill a dragon, and bam, instead you are stupid and he flies away and eats your slann.

But you don't even have to lose a unit. Just swap the obsidian lodestone out and take some horned ones. Sure you may have to change their loadouts a bit, but I guarantee you not being stupid is going to have a bigger effect than magical resistance. You have to make a stupidity check every turn, and even with LD 9 you are probably going to fail it at least once a game with each of them.

Actually giant blade is slightly better and 5 points cheaper.

I would advocate for the "Tenderiser" from the Ogre Kingdoms as the best weapon. But the choppa is also really good.
