I'll never understand how people can be dumb enough to think that continual arguing and dislike can be a sign of 'good chemistry'.

That was flaws George Lucas' writing. That's not chemistry.

In real life, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher actually banged. That's actually chemistry, and it was visible on film.

Well... if you consider Disney canon (which we don't), then it didn't work out too well for Han and Leia either. :D

Very true!

To be honest that's one of the very few things I liked about the Sequel Trilogy... I'd rather take that more realistic forecast of their love life over the EU version, where they somehow found the archetypal nuclear family, any day (as much as many others would choose the reverse). But then I am not a fan of Han I suppose, probably why I was one of the few people who enjoyed seeing him die in 7 too.

Those things and Rogue One I'll happily accept as portions of my Canon (though the rest of Disney Wars can burn of course).

Woah, woah, woah... no need to get crazy. ;)

EU stomps Disney canon any day of the week.

From a canon pov, i think Rogue One is almost mandatory to complete "A new hope"
Yes and no. Leia claiming to be on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan when everyone (and especially Vader) just saw the ship fly off from Scarif orbit moments before is a bit clunky.

For me it depends...

I'd certainly take E-Wings over slightly-upgraded X-Wings for a futuristic evolution of the Rebellion/New Republic's starfighters. E-Wings are a logical streamlining of the X-Wing core components, whereas slightly-upgraded X-Wings would be seen about 5 years after Episode VI, but not 30 as they are in the Sequel Trilogy.

I'd take the New Republic over the rehash that was the 'Resistance' any day.

I'd be interested to see Thrawn appear in a film or three (so long as he is made likeable as a villain and properly different from others we've seen, rather than the Saturday-morning cartoon baddie seen in Rebels and Ahsoka).

I'd really like to see the Yuuzhan Vong in film format. For that matter in the Sequel Trilogy I'd have liked to have seen any villainous faction emerge that wasn't just a resurrected Empire.

But Kyle Katarn was a pointless rehash of Luke with some of Han's roughness. Sod him, Rogue One's gritty war film was a lot better than anything he appeared in.

And would we want to see nonsense like the Sun Crusher appear in film format? I suppose it would be more original than Starkiller Base at least, but there are certainly rubbish parts of the EU that are almost as undeserving of the spotlight as most of the Disney dross.

The Sun Crusher was kind of dumb as a concept, so was the fact that a splinter force of the Empire had a perfectly functional non-hyperdrive equipped Death Star, but I really like the characters and character arcs in the Jedi Academy Trilogy so I still enjoyed those books.

I also like that the sequel Darksaber had a new Death Star attempt that failed due to engineering mistakes. That was a level of realism you don't see much in Star Wars.
