I will so laugh if literally every story involves Dawi-Zhaar in some capacity.

I will double the laughing if every story involves Dawi-Zhaar getting humiliated in some capacity because that would be the ultimate monkey-paw moment for you.

That would be a problematic scenario, as I'd have to read each and every story in full prior to bestowing my blessing (vote).

    Then...

Or maybe that might mean I'd have to enter a true Chaos Dwarf story in the future... which would cascade into a pseudo-paradox whereby @Scalenex 's golden rule would be shattered.

Which is the lesser evil to you?

Edit: Dangit, why'd this one argue with me so much?

The Dawi-Zharr can be made to lose (as they are villains)... but humiliation, that's going too far! That's an easy choice.

Nightbringer is in a Xanatos Gambit, and I am playing the role Xanatos. I'd like to say I orchestrated it with my brilliant strategic mind, but this one was mostly luck.

Whatever happens, I win. There are situations where I win a lot and there are situations where I only win a little. There are situations where Nightbringer and I both win, but I cannot fail to win.

If Nightbringer opts to write a short story himself to make sure it has Chaos Dwarves done properly, I win because I will have got him to engage in my favorite of Lustria-Online, on my terms no less. I also like to read about Chaos Dwarves.

If all the stories involve Chaos Dwarves and Nightbringer has to read the posts carefully make a vote, I still win as Nightbringer is engaging in the contest fully on my preferred terms.

If only one of the stories has Chaos Dwarves, obviously Nightbringer does not have to think very hard on what to vote for, but I still win. Whether or not Nightbringer's vote pushes that story to victory or not is irrelevant. Nightbringers campaigning has increased engagement and hype on recent contests, so that's a win for me.

If none of the stories have Chaos Dwarves in them, I can play a very small violin for Nightbringer, so I still win.

In any event, real life has reared it's ugly head on me. I cannot edit and post the story entries in a reasonable fashion tomorrow, so I'm extending the contest deadline to Wednesday night.

If this extra time leads to more entries, that's a bonus. If not, three stories isn't bad.

You only feel that way because you haven't fully thought it through. You've underestimated my ability to inject chaos into the mix. There might just be variations of situations that have eluded your attention. :angelic:

You're not looking at it from a Tzeentchian angle... Sisko was just another plaything for Q. Just another unwitting tool to be used to spread chaos.

Up until the fist to his jaw. Notice that Q left Sisko alone after that. Too intimidated by the physical prowess that was Benjamin Sisko.

Certainly Q finds Sisko entertaining in a different way than Picard's.

I think you should re-watch the episode.

Q: "You hit me. Picard never hit me"
    Sisko: "I'm not Picard"
Q: "Indeed not. You're much easier to provoke. How fortunate for me."

Q could kill them all with a snap of his fingers... but what fun would that be? Not very chaotic. They're all just puppets.

    Indeed.

On a personal note, I find the Q and Picard back-and-forth to be the most interesting element in all of Star Trek. His interactions with Sisko were limited. His interactions with Janeway were fun, but never even close to approximating his exchanges with Picard.

Yes, I know... I was just chuckling at how the writers then never brought Q back into DS9, which kind of gave an air of "I'll make it sound like I am entertained before I strategically retreat". Intellectually, I know they probably didn't bring Q to help keep DS9 different from TNG and later Voyager, but if you know of the behind-the-scenes reason for Q's not returning, please share, because I am genuinely curious about that.
