This is a list I plan on using for my first games against my friend, who will rotate between orcs and goblins, warriors of chaos, and brettonians. I currently have the Slann, 20 Saurus, three Kroxigor, the carnosaur, and Skink Priest. After playing Total War I took a liking to the fire Slann and Bastiladons so I wanted to try a list on the table that is very good at range. For a friendly this is a good enough list, just some quick notes - cupped hands of the old one is not a good item, 55 points for something that only works if you miscast? Spend on lore familiar to get the spells you want (fireball & pillar of flame) - take leftover points for 4 more skinks and run 3x10 it will make the units a lot more manageable. - I wouldn't put magic items on champions, it's just not worth it (additionally you can't have two biting blades in one army as it's not common) - scouts can be hard to use for new players, by removing that upgrade you'll have another 30 points spare you could give the carnosaur the talisman of protection. Your carnosaur is going to be very difficult to kill!
Great feedback! I was using the Scout and Vangaurd upgrade to hit the mandatory 500 points. I have since switched to 3x11 Skinks and ditched the biting blade as well as scout/vangaurd and took the rest of your suggestions. Will report back after game.
