Howdah change is so clutch for keeping them alive. Skink priest goes with a Skink unit to try and dish out as much Battle Magic he can while still alive. Plus RRoR The rest I think is pretty self explanatory
I wouldn't personally give such magic items to a 1 wound champion but up to you. It's not bad just got great imo. With the points saved I'd upgrade harrowing scrutiny to becoming cogitation. Now we can dispel while locked in combat it's awesome.
