This weekend i've had my first game. My Iron Sultanate won against Black Grail! (those dudes are tough as nails)
How are you all continuing? I might be a little late for the party, but colleague is printing a lot of models for TC lately and since I'm helping with bed preparations, I've been looking at TC a bit more... Not that I intend to play, but I have already picked a faction.
ATM we are waiting for the release of the definitive version of the rules. What facton has been your choice?
I am meddling with Heretic Legion. Specificaly subfaction of Naval Raiders. Right now, I am sorting 3D models and choosing what might aesteticaly look good together.
That is quite the impressive cosplay. Also, though not the intention... makes me think "oh god, the nurses in Silent Hill have had enough and armoured up." Which I really shouldn't have such thoughts, but horror-themed nurses always inevitably falls to Silent Hill 2 for me.
I've been hearing rumblings about controversy with Trench Crusade. Now, I could exercise my Google-Fu and try to sort out fact from fiction... Or I can ask if anybody here actually knows exactly what this controversy is supposed to be, and whether this is sour haters shouting things to drive away any interest for petty reasons, or if it is truth? No skin off of my back either way... Trench Crusade as a setting didn't hook me. Though the models do look nifty, I feel no pull to actually try Trench Crusade as a system.
I'm not sure what's actually true and what's an exaggeration. But i think the responsible team did a lot ot mistakes, being able to create such a hype to just have things stopped for more than a year, and then go for the route of plastic models.... idk
I've been hearing a lot of "never received the promised STLs or Resin models at an acceptable level of quality". But like you, I'm not sure how much of that is exaggerated. I really don't want to indulge the click-bait "Trench Crusade screwed up so bad it is making Games Workshop look good" articles and videos, which was part of why I was curious as to whether anybody here knew the truth of it. I'm all for a miniatures company to go with plastic... but they had an obligation to their backers. Assuming that the issues aren't being blown up by a very vocal group. What an age we live in, can't trust anything we hear...
