Hey Everyone, I am curious as to how/if you like to play up the psychological aspect of the Ripperdactyls. In particular I mean the psychological aspect of the Blot Toad. I have a 3 game tournament tomorrow and I decided I would like to play up the psychological aspect by creating this monstrosity... This is my new Blot Toad marker I want my opponent to notice it every time they look at the table and really worry about it... So what is your opinion about playing up this aspect? I have seen similar "mind games" from Orc and Goblin players who leave their Fanatics out for you to see.
For those interested...the Ripper's never got to the toad! But on another note 3 games, 2 massacres 1 major victory and I took 1st place.
Have you posted any bat reps of your games? I really like the rippers and love to see how other people use them.
I've got a thread in the Batreps section of the previous tournament but I didn't use rippers in this list (http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/t_saurus-bat-reps.13855/) and am in the process of creating my first ever youtube battle reports from the Sunday tournament. Forewarning: Ripperdactyls did nothing damage wise all tournament. First game they failed a frenzy test and charged the flank of a chimera died to a man and causing my scar-vet to lose combat against it (but he held and finished it off in the next round of combat so not all lost). Game 2: got magicked off the table Game 3: Messed with a bunch of daemons for a couple turns before charging a flank of a soul grinder holding it a turn and doing a wound to it before dying. I am by no means done with using the rippers cause I think they are hilarious and now I have a sweet toad pedestal but at least in this tournament I never had an ideal match up for them.
Rippers are not OP. can be countered. but when u get them to a matchup u want, with a rear or flank charge, holy crap they go crazy
