Not to keep this constantly dying thread alive but it looks like it will actually be coming:

"ia an anonymous source on Faeit 212
    1. In addition I was also discussing the rumours re: WFB 9th and WH40K box set. WFB 9th is on its way for a May pre-order and June release whilst WH40K box was not known. This may be because it is further out for a release date.

    2. Also mentioned imminent additional plastic kits although no specific dates re: Dark Elf bolt throwers and also Slayers in plastic."

You dont want some sort of nerf to the laser canons? Or how alternatively something to deal with ridden monsters? I'd love to have a shared profile with our carnosaur and OB. AS+1 and ward 4+ on the carno would be sweet. Just wish-listing of course, but lets not pretend that 8th edition is completely flawless. It's great alright, but I still think there are some flaws that could make the overall game more fun.

Anyway do you have a source Mr Phat?

That was from Faiet 212/Natfka's website.

He posts pretty much anything that gets emailed to him.

I started following the guy 2 months ago and so far everything (on that fantasy side at least) has held up.
I hope this is as well, as I am very interested in what 9th brings along with it.

That's because the closer you get to an actual GW release, the more accurate the rumors become. If you look at everything he posts over a long period and in a long term in advance, its extremely inaccurate - especially the details - because he literally does post everything that's e-mailed to him by anybody. Which means sometimes he'll be right, like a broken watch is right twice a day, but more often than not he'll be wrong.

Look at the number of times that he clarifies release windows and passes it off as something getting 'pushed' just before the scheduled date. The GW release cycle starts at least 18 months in advance and is thoroughly planned out: they don't move things around at the last minute due to the sheer logistical nightmare that would involve with shipping things around the world.

Bare in mind that just one month ago, he was claiming Wood Elves were in May. A month before that, he was saying there's no 9th edition in 2014. Now its 9th edition in May. One - or all - of these are wrong. Look atthe sources of the rumours: 40k Radio have been pretty spot on so far.

I like this edition. I dont think its perfect, but i'd rather have the rest of the books come out first. Especially wood elves and Brets.
