Hello everyone I just started playing warhammer (should have my lizardmen coming in 2 weeks and my first game ever on saturday using my buddies lizardmen. I have played 40k for a couple years going between armies for fluff reasons (big fan of fluff) and i decided to get into warhammer finally because i was unstoppable at my club in 40k and i heard that warhammer was a bit more challenging and tactical. Chose lizardmen due to looks and a little fluff, mainly looks. Loved the idea of an army of lizards riding dinosaurs. Been looking at paint schemes to do and i think i settled on a mountain style lizards (grey skin and red scales). Red scales coming from being birthed from a magic lake that became a boiling pit of lava and to mark ferocity. I look forward to submitting my stuff online. P.S. first battle is gonna be against deamons of chaos, my 40k buddy is also joining warhammer.
Hello and welcome! I'm also a 40k player of some years experience jumping over to fantasy for mostly the same reasons (except I'm not really what could be described as "unstoppable", more of a "grouchy veteran"). I look forwards to reading about your adventures against Daemons of Chaos, it's an army I very rarely see in either game system these days.
I also wish I could see Daemons on the table top more. Look forward to your contributions. Mountain Lizardmen sound very interesting. You should browse through the Painting forum. Especially the Plogs. We have volcanic themed LM, Greek themed LM, desert themed LM, snow themed LM, ultra lizard-like LM, etc, etc The painting forum welcomes everyone from beginners to Picassos.
My first battle was a huge success. I slaughtered the demon player. Gonna post a battle report later but becasue of my huge success using a river i decided i'm gonna paint river themed lizardmen (dark green scales, light green skin, with beige stomachs).
