I'm totally new and am so excited to get painting. I'm awaiting my codex and just wanted to be sure that colors do not mean anything. I.E. chapter, type of army, red make them go fast lol. Oh my name is Jeramie and I'm from up state NY, nice to be here!
Welcome! Not special colours for any chapter.. but a few editions ago there were sacred spawnings (Spawning of Sotek, Spawning of Chotec, etc..) There spawnings gave the lizardmen special abilities and these spawnings could be shown by giving them different colours or something! Sotek was red, chotec was yellow for example! But this edition there are no special rules or chapters which could be shown by giving them colours! But if you want Chotec themed army you can paint them with yellow scales..
Welcome to the forum! As Zwuppie said, no special meaning in the coliurs in this edition. Lizardmenare a great army for a creative painter, as you can make them as bright or as dark as you want without it necessarily looking goofy.
Thank you for the info. I just can’t figure out what color to do!? I've never had such a hard time lol. I'm going to be patient though and take my time to figure it out. I've wanted to paint a Lizardmen army for so long it will be worth the wait. I look forward to reading and looking around the message board. Thanks again for the input!
The painting logs on this forum are great places to gather some inspiration. Also, many forumites have a link to their blog in their signature. Good luck!
