Bastiladon Crystal Techniques

    So I'm in the middle of painting my bastiladon with the solar engine, and I was wondering what techniques I should use on it? I'm a decent enough painter but the crystal is something I've never tried painting before. Is there any way you can recommend I start or a link I should look at?
    Thanks, some help would really be appreciated

    Dark in the flats and blend to a lighter color as you get closer to the edges. :shifty:

    This is what I've done..

    But if I were to have a do-over.... I might do less hard lines on the edges and more of a 1:2 ration watered down paint instead.

    I wouldn't even say those highlights are hard I really like what you've done with that crystal, thanks for the help guys it has given somewhere to start here.
