    Hi Lustria,

You guys gave solid advice on the last list I posted, and I was hoping to get the same with this one. I feel like I need to prove myself as a great general before having the right to field a revered Slann; it's too painful seeing my Slann dude die because of my poor plays. Also, yes i'm on the carnosaur hype train, too! Thx Zagreekie!

    2400pts:
1 Saurus Oldblood, Great Weapon, Armour of destiny, Other Tricksters Shard, Dragonbane gem, Carnosaur Mount, Loping Stride, Blood Roar.

1 Skink Priest (Beasts), Dispell Scroll.

1 Skink Priest (Beasts), Level 2 Wizard, Scroll of Shielding.

1 Saurus Scar Veteran, Battle Standard Bearer, Great Weapon, Light Armour, Talisman of Protection, Cold One Mount

1 Saurus Scar Veteran, Light Armour, Sword of Striking, Dawnstone, Charmed Shield, Cold One Mount.

28 Saurus Warriors, Full Command, Spears.

    10 Skink Skirmishers, Javelins&Shields.

    10 Skink Skirmishers, Javelins&Shields.

    10 Skink Skirmishers, Javelins&Shields.

    10 Skink Skirmishers, Javelins&Shields.

    5 Chameleon Skinks.

    5 Chameleon Skinks.

    1 Bastiladon, Solar Engine

    3 Ripperdactyl Riders

    3 Ripperdactyl Riders

    1 Ancient Stegadon, Sharpened Horns

Should the bsb be on the 1+ rerollable+charmed shield scar vet instead? He seems like a solid duellist for challenges, so idk about putting my bsb on him. And is it worth dabbling in the lore of Heavens??

Well if you ever plan to break someone's steadfast, you will be hard pressed. I would take hw on the saurus for the sole reason to hopefully have enough ranks to break another block. There is nothing in your list that can deal with hordes of garbage apart from the tstomps and the saurus. You will have a good shot against something like woc or cav heavy humans. You can never go wrong with a sally or 2 to round it out. Even a big block if skinks could be useful so long as they never fight alone.

@n810 my thoughts were to keep the 2 Scar vets with the saurus to have a killy block, picking targets 1 by 1. I'm not worried about cannons sniping the heroes, since I have an ancient steg and a carno, and I have war machine hunters. The 4 units of skinks can chaff/do skinky stuff. The Steg/Bastil help the Saurus block out if need be, and the Carno+Rippers+Chamos hunt targets down (eg skaven bunker, gunline centres, etc).

HW+S seems like a great idea thx @themuffinman873, because i suppose most damage will come from the scar vets, so the Saurus need to be as survivable as possible. This is good news, since I don't actually own saurus models with spears!

So @Skinquisitor , a bit of divide+conquer theory, having the saurus block being the backbone whilst the rest have their own jobs. Imo saurus blocks are resilient, they just need punching power (ie, Scar vets). This will need playtesting it of course.

Thx for the responses. There's a bit of undead at my local store, which I haven't faced yet, so now i'm worried :O
