Thought I'd post this again for some of the new painters, and any experienced painter who want to brush up on their skills. http://www.how-to-paint-miniatures.com/ <------------- (link to site) Here's a few others: http://www.wikihow.com/Paint-Warhammer-Figures https://rpgathenaeum.wordpress.com/...r-leveling-up-your-miniature-painting-skills/ http://home.wowway.com/~tinweasel/techniques.html http://shop.princeaugust.ie/painting-metal-miniatures-part-2-techniques/

Here's some more good stuff http://www.reapermini.com/TheCraft/32 Oh and this amazing paint matching tool. http://www.reapermini.com/PowerPalette/ (upload a pick, and click on a pixel to get the paint color) and a chart to translate reapers colors to GW's colors. http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Paint_Range_Compatibility_Chart
Good idea this thread! And nice links, but in this particular one, specifically in the section where he says he prefers synthetic brushes over real hair, he fails to inform about the importance of brush cleaning. Real hair brushes can last for years if you only wash them with a proper cleaner after each painting session. And I find the paint-holding capacity superior to synthetic ones. Rosemary and Co has fair prices as far as economy is concerned. Just my two cents
personally I prefer real sable brushes, the synthetics just don't hold paint as well. but having some cheep synthetics in your kit is a good idea when you just need a basic brush. (there is another article on brush cleaning by that guy)
Didn't know about some of these brush hair types.... http://www.dickblick.com/info/brushhair/ and different shapes. http://www.dickblick.com/categories/brushes/#brushesbynameorshape
