You're right: even the Italian website has no more lizards warscrolls. Spoiler: I guess GW will change them into something similar to this: Or maybe it's because of the names being revised: sunblood, starpriest and so on!
it's probable that they are going to put pdf for the single units once the repacks are online, like with stormcasts and bloodbound
That would fit the "taking warscrolls" habit. I'm wondering if they are going to sell round boxes so one can really roll up the paper when taking your army somewhere...
Well I for one am flipping excited for this Battletome! I mean come on, we're the first old army to get one! We've never been the first of anything before! THE TIME OF THE OLD ONES IS UPON US!
In my long experience with GW being the first is always a bad idea. There have been literally no good first-of-the-edition-armybook-or-codex ever. The fluff is development, the power level isn't really clear, no or little new models. Let me tell you, being first is no good thing. Ask Sylvaneth and Clan Pestilens.
Well we're already one of the most powerful armies, I rate us third and because we have a bunch of anti-Daemon tactics (Daemons I consider to be second) we can only be overshadowed by the Undead at #1. I don't mind this, it's not going to hurt us.
Now the video is up. I knew it that there is going to be more organisations. And one has Tetto'eko in, yes. So much yes.
Just seen the video, thanks for the info! It's so satisfying to see Seraphon again on the GW site Have you seen all the new hosts? There's even a "host of hosts": the Starbeast Costellation! It's HUGE, but even its cost it's no joke...
I've just seen, it's huge! Makes me want to order one for my second themed Lizardmen army, I think I will end up drowning in Lizardmen. I will just do it one by one. They really chucked us many ways of gaining new rules for hosting certain models. edit* Thought of Tehenhauin missing (and a few others), maybe due to his base, I noticed they removed some pieces from the Priest so he doesn't have a decorated base anymore, only the steps. I wonder how they will do it for the Prophet
This one, @ASSASSIN_NR_1 : To @little-myth : yeah, I noticed Tehenhauin's absence too. And where are the swarms and Oxyotl, also? We'll see in the next weeks, I guess. Speaking again about the Starbeast Constellation, it may be an interesting deal: you can get 198 miniatures at the cost of €757.00 (euros) here in Italy, which means a price of €3.82 per model. Putting in account the fact that among these models there are 2 priests, a carno, a basti, 3 rippers/terradons, 2 stegs, naggas and 2 sunblood we can say it is certainly NOT a bad offer! Of course, it's not very interesting for one single customer (who may already have some models), but for 2/3 people dividing the cost it may be a good buy!
battletome up at black library from the free preview we can see that -lizardmen reached azyr following the tears of dracothion who, in mind-communion with the slann, learnt of the loss of the old world and was crying for it -lizards may have in fact reached the mortal realms way before sigmar -each star in the constellations represents a host/or a great hero of the lizardmen -while the chaos gods don't learn from fighting the lizards, the slann have thought and planned to crush them to build an universal order to things and are enacting that plan -the attacks of lizardmen intensified with the waves of sigmarines -the slann do prepare things so much that they are said to always be many steps ahead of their enemy -while being summoned by the memories of the slann, the lizardmen are immortal spirits and will continue to fight and continue a battle even after the death of the slann that evoked them (meaning that they're not completely dependant on them as it may seem at a first sight) -this independency is further suggested by certain descriptions of units from the site, like the skink starseer (tetto eko) which show that the lizardmen act and think in a way sometimes different from that of the slann, meaning that they're not mere illusionary thought-constructs this until we get to see the battletome in its entirety to read up all the details I for one welcome our newfound ascension in the crucible of stars
Thanks for the infos! To me, this is some very interesting stuff: the part which attracts more my attention is the one about "being summoned by the memories of the slann". It could be a nice idea, if well supported by fluff material! On the contrary, the only thing that doesn't convince me is the tearing dragon part... but I'll wait till the Battletome is in my hands to judge it properly
In the limited edition battle tome it says: "144 fully colored pages..." I assume the normal battletome is in color too...why state this??
I'm just starting, that price could be reasonable for a whole new army? (Also planing to buy a Slann and Kroak). Anyway, certainly I love the Dinosaur King' painted Bastiladon.
Hey did you guys see the AoS app? Under lizardmen we have the 2 old hosts and the skink chief, swarms, oxyotl and tenehauin; while the rest under seraphon. Without the new hosts though, i guess cause the book has not been released?
I'll give you my thought, @Cristhian MLR : the price IS reasonable, but this is EVEN MORE than what you're gonna ever need/use! XD I mean, I don't know if you are a tournament player, a collectionist or someone who (by the Age of Sigmar rules) wants to have the largest collection possible in order to field any combination of units, but let's take a look at these 198 models. I'm basing my considerations on this pic: Spoiler: Starbeast Constellation - 2 Starpriest? Ok, they're fine (you'll need them, and maybe even another). - A Bastiladon? Perfect. You might want to take also another in order to have an Ark of Sotek & a Solar Machine on the battlefield (they're FUN)! - 3 Krox? Perfect for you to have them. - A carnosaur? Again, perfect, and probably you could use the additional pieces of the model to have a free Saurus Hero or Skink. And in case you didn't want a carnosaur, I think you could build it as a Troglodon. - 3 Rippers/Terradons? Amazing. - 2 Sunblood (ex-Gorrok)? Ok... it's more than necessary. BUT - 45 Temple Guards? Well, it is a very large number in my opinion. 25-30 are enough for me! - 60 Saurus? Mmh... might be ok, but remember you also have Stegs, Rippers/Terradon, Krox, etc. When you have all these models, what's the fun in fielding all these Sauri? - How many Skinks are there, 48? 50? Don't know exatly, but they are enough, if not too much! We are no more in Warhammer 7th Ed., so you don't have to field all these skinks... (By the way, if you LOVE these models or play old Warhammers editions, 48 Skinks are mandatory! XD) - 24 Naggaronts??? Whoa! TOO MUCH!!! XD I think you will never need more than 12-15 of them! If had the money to buy this Starbeast Constellation and I wanted to begin a Lizzie Army, I would buy it, but then I'd sell some Naggas, Temple Guards & Saurus online (or I'd try to change them into Salamanders, Star-Seer or Slann ) PAY ATTENCTION: This is of course based on my (little) personal experience, and is a personal opinion which may have no meaning at all! P.S. What do you mean with "certainly I love the Dinosaur King' painted Bastiladon"? I don't get the reference... Were you asking this to somebody else?
I only disagree on the skinks. You need all of them The rest is 100% true. Leave some saurus guard and warriors out and put a stegadon in game, or either some chamaleons or razordon/salamander. Perhaps a saurus astrolith bearer... Imagine the table with all those units! No tactis, just clear old forward march. Might as well use the roman triplex acies at least <3
