Finished up 12 more Skinks this past week, so I could field a full Skink/Krox unit. Here it is. I'm going to work on Chameleon Skinks next, but I'm going to take a break for a couple of weeks first. Will post here again once the next unit is done. Kevin in Edmonton
What was your painting technique for teh Kroxigors? I wanted a purple skin on my Ogre Kingdoms army exactly like what you got on the krox.
Arli, Regarding painting the Krox, you can get some info on my blog: mageknightkevin.blogspot.com Essentially, prime white, wash black, wash purple, wetbrush skin light purple/space wolves grey, drybrush scales light purple, space wolves grey. Then foundry bone series for spines, teeth and claws. Kevin.
Wow, 5 years away, and now finally back to Lizardmen (thanks, Kings of War). Here are some new pieces... Hero More Saurus Warriors... Carnosaur Troglodon ...and cavalry
That Troglodon is absolutely fantastic... WOW . The black markings (with the red spots/highlights) running from the mouth to the tail really adds a lot of character. How did you come up with the design? Love the purple Cold Ones too!
OH MY GOD!! This is absolutely amazing!! Very clean and bright paintjobs all around the army, and that troglodon, oh my god. It looks... I don´t even have a word. That paint scheme is pure gold!! The colours blend really well and there is so much movement to it, it´s simply brilliant!! The black face makes it looks deadly poisonous, and the bright colors just add to that feeling!! That´s a troglodon you don´t wanna be messing around with on the table top, it just looks so deadly!! The basing is real nice too, very realistic looking. A very inspiring army you have there!! Love it! Keep the pictures coming!! Jorgik
If you don't mind me asking what colour you used for those saurus warriors? Those colours are so crisp and clean.
Great looking models! I hope when I get started with painting in the near future that I will be able to paint models to that standard! (probably not, but through trial and error, I may get there!)
Totally missed this thread, great looking models and you say KOW, are you going to multi base any units? I have recently started KOW and the multi base aspect is such a brilliant idea. Keep the pics coming.
Beautiful! Your models are beautifully painted. I especially like your saurus, and your temple guards paint-scheme are very similar to mine! Except yours are perfect !!! Echoing the previous posts, that is a very beautiful and unique troglodon color scheme. It does look very deadly, wonderful little red spots too! And an excellent base. If you do any multibasing please post! Thanks for the inspiration!
