Anyone else feel like this fantastic army is getting forgotten buy GW i have spoken to a few people who did not even know we were the first army to get AOS backing...i have not read any of the books but i just dont see them getting marketed at all...
But we didn't get the cut. And it seems the models are selling pretty decently. Every time I check the site, either Kroak, Slann, astrolith or Chameleon skinks are sold out. It would be nice to get a few new sculpts though. Guess we will have to see where the global campaign goes .
I don't think we are forgotten. Yeah, now there's the new shiny Sylvaneth book, with all the new shiny units and shiny powers. But the number of their discontinued old models is huge. If we'll receive new boosts, I think it will be after the "upgrade" of the other armies.
i do hope so i really love this army its just i have spoken to a few people and they honestly did not know that the seraphon had a book they thought they only got a repack like death and orcs before the latest books came out...i guess thats why i wanted to hear from the rest of you
This is the problem with being just popular enough, no new models, but we got the first book. Hopefully some new Dinosaurs come out! Or at the very least some imaginative memories of Saurus and Skink heroes!
Yes, it could have been worse! But more than Saurus and Skink heroes, I think we need as soon as possible new Saurus and Skinks troops sculpts... oh, and Sallies! Poor, poor Sallies
I think were in a good spot, first to get AOS book but we will be last for new models, I'm betting on new cavalry models and sallies.
man what i would like is some new models for the Kroxigor i want these guys but i hate how they look...if i could only get some of @woogity modes ...
I do wish that we had a bit more fluff yo read and be inspired by, but I think that we are still in a good position. We have strong rules, cool models, and a fabulous fan-group. If we have been forgoten, we will not stay there long. Hard to ignore reptilian sky-demons.
What I would love is if our artefacts aren't artefacts, but named heroes from the old edition (Kroq-Gar, Gor-Rok) with better stats, and a higher point cost. It won't happen but that's what I would like.
See they have set themselves up to not need to make new models though. A battalion like Klaq-Tor's Talons takes your oldblood on Carno and ups the stats and changes the abilities. So more Starhosts for us, with some of the old heroes would be awesome.
New models would be great but I guess we'll have to wait some (long) time until we get them... Also for new battalions... Thinks like that would mean new books to be released, and I guess the books in some peoples bookshelf still smell and look rather new, so ... But don't give up faith!
Not necessarily new books, repacks. Say a new box of say bastiladon, salamanders a sun blood and a bunch of warriors, could put a card in the box for Gor'Roks Fiery Temper starhost and boom, new starhost, named character, and some more options to get started.
I think that we are not getting new models because "we are selling fine and we just recieved new minis in 2013" shenanigans. I mean I cant complain but I sure would love if they gave us a plastic slann or a plastic COATL! which right now would be very age of sigmarish if you ask me. Just imagine! finally having that giant feathered serpent casting spells and raining stars of destruction with it's magnificent hide. I just hope and I REALLY HOPE that it is Andy Hoare the one that would write new and next Lizardmen content. I dont like Jeremy Vetock's fluff nor rules. The fluff its always "Look how much they kill and how they cut and slash and turn the enemies into pulp!" whuuuuu.
@Bowser: Ok. Possibly that could work... It worked in the beginning of aos so it could work for add-ons as well...
