Here the first scratch of my idea for the Skink Astroligh bearers. A flying artefact mixing oldschool elements and a technological center. Around hin 4 skinks to protect/handle it. And represent the number of wound the "regular" mini had. What do you think ? For the two rotating sides i think i'll use very thin pieces of metal strings that will be painted in blue to represent electrics arcs and fixing the whole stuff. + i'll had some more lustrian decorative elements to prove it's a sacred tool from the ancients.(and the drones Tau anthenas). Do you know a tutorial far those electric arcs ? i saw it a long time ago on another web site but can't manage where or what was the conversion about.
That looks super cool. Your post has definitely giving me a few ideas. i wasa planning on making a diorama for my set, and I may have to steal your idea of buying some stuffz online instead of just new models!
I saw people using the old warhammer 40k templates and it worked perfectly These ones Really cool idea by the way!!
Woah amazing idea super cool maybe trim the top edges of the arcs to flatten them off? as they are connecting plastic for the connecting part? or leave it there just a though
Sorry for the silence, i'm progressing very slowly and making some test. Here some news of GreenBall after his "Sacred Break Oil Bath of sotek" : Spoiler Next step : his 19 other brothers and sisters.
Here it is, the schedule Tab for the Tale of 4 warlords See this thread : http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/a-tale-of-four-warlords.18402/#post-172805 Tons of work !
It's a minimum to keep track of your progress when you have more than 10 minis to do. Force of habits. I've done this for many Tyranids painting schedule, it was around 5000pts in total.
Rebase, yes. Moving from square to round. I know this is useless and not mandatory, but in term of gameplay and feels i'm much more fan of round bases now. Also, square bases are more effective than round (you can make bigger unit in less space, making charges, range attak more effevtive). But it sounds not fair to me.
Here is my first try Based on some awesome Proxigors i saw on this forum. This the first mini i've painted since 2012. As you can see i'm not good at layering and my camera has a better focus than my eyes. (i see tons of mistakes now on screen). And a very bad light. I've order some bases and they should arrive next week. Please, leave your comment i desperatly need some advices (got 40 of those to get a complete army) And my advencement for this week :
Oh, i know what you mean about the focus... Have the same problem. Maybe it's the lighting in the room I'm painting in... But your skink looks cool! Good job!
I think this looks amazing! Fantastic colour scheme. It looks so cool with that black and bone colouration.
Very pretty. In your defense I do not like the modelling job they did on the old plastic skink figures. It is cool to see them popping up more around here though
