AoS 2k army list

    Hi,
    I was thinking to play the following list.
    Is the 3 times 5 saurus guards good enough?
    And is the astrolith bearer ok?
    Or only if you play lord kroak?

    1 slann starmaster
    1 engine of the Gods
    1 astrolith bearer
    1 saurus eternity warden

    5 saurus guards
    5 saurus guards
    5 saurus guards
    1 salamander
    3 skink handlers

    1 bastiladon
    1 bastiladon

    1 eternal starhost
    1 thunderquake starhost

    I like this build, the astrolith is good for the guard and the slann, the slann is good for the engine, you have a solid build here, try it out and let is know, may need a tweak like dropping the astrolith for a starseer or more salamanders. Though I woukd try this, because if played right your astrolith will help out a lot over the course of the game.

    You will have a hard time capturing objectives. There is not many models in your roster. And the guard will have a bad time with mortal wounds- every else heals, so they are the first target.

    Say your guard all get in on a charge and are within range of the astrolith bearer and eternity warden, they'll make on average 26.6 wounds with their polearms. Drop the astrolith bearer though and you can take 5 more saurus guards and you'll still make the same amount of wounds and have a spare 60 points, the saurus guard are going to be tougher to kill than the astrolith as well. I guess you can argue that other units near the astrolith bearer will get the advantage, but I don't know, does seem worth it to me.
