This army is very well-rounded from a troops perspective, but it hasn't got much magic defense. Do you plan on facing opponents who don't use a lot of magic?

Also, are you going to put the Saurus characters in units?

I always think Oldblood on Carny is the way to go, but you have managed to fit a lot of units in there using the points that might have been spent on him.

You also don't have a whole lot of skinks, perhaps switch a sallie for another skirmisher unit? (unless you're doing one of those two salamanders n00b one unit strategies). Skinks are great and cheap and WIN at getting in the way of your enemy's units.

Hope this helps you crush your enemies in the name of the Old Ones! :droid:

By all means tear it apart and redo it.

My goal is to first-create a visually stunning army that is marvellous to look at, but ALSO very competitve all round.

I'm always glad when I hear that set of aims, someone like myself. I would say five things:

Tepok won't be much use on the priest. Even with 5PD on his hands he won't be casting much unless he's lucky enough to IF. Best to either take diadem or another DS and focus on defense.

Split the salamanders into two packs

The oldblood isn't very mobile, this may make it hard to get him where he is needed. Consider a cold or horned one maybe. Can you have Ench. Sh. on two characters? Not sure on that one

You should make the scar vet into a BSB, it synergises very well with all your close combat.

TG are beautiful models imo, but so poor for their points cost unless they're with a slann that I never would take them unless they had a slann to protect. Consider you are paying nearly 50% more points than for a HW+SH saurus for basically only 1 extra point of armour. Having a slann changes all of this of course, as being stubborn Ld8 with BSB re-rolls means that they flee 1.1% of the time no matter how bad they lose!

I'm not suggesting you go the slann route at all but drop the TG and take 4 terradons, bumping your other unit to 4 as well. Then invest in 3-4 more units of skinks, with at least 2 units being 10 ranked skink cohorts. I don't know where you'll want to put the oldblood, in the spears for 7x3? Being solo on foot is asking to be shot/broken by static CR.
