well right off the bat i would say drop your temple guard to 14 or 15 since the slann will take up 4 slots and that is going to be a large enough unit with 20-21 total i would then drop the extra skink on the 11 man unit giving you 71 or 55 points with those points i would definatly give you priest the plaque of tepok for the extra spell since he is essentally a lvl 3 anyway and that up your chance of getting a decent spell the rest of your points should go towards either making your saurus a JsoD with the jaguar charm which will have a decent chance of going off with you having the magic you do if you do this i would recomend a GW this makes him a chariot killer but to get the points for the JsoD you will need to drop the champion for the TG since you will only want to drop 3 TG so that they remain at full str when he leaps the other option is to make your character into a character killer this would typically mean equiping him with the BBoC the enchanted shield and the bane head this will make him quite the killer you could also consider putting the bane head on the slann and try sniping with him
Thanks for all the good advice. Yea I see what you mean I think 20 temple guard may be overkill thats alot of points walking around. Wow I totally never considered giving the slaan bane head that would be nasty. As I mainly use lore of death because its so destructive. So question, If I use steal soul on a enemy and I also have bane head on that model would I then regain 2 wounds? or would I gain 1 wound but cause 2 wounds on the character?
I think the target would lose two wounds, but you would only gain one. I believe the wording is that the caster gains a wound in addition to causing one, not that he gains the amount of wounds done to the target.
Makes sense. I think that will still be a nasty little strategy though. My brothers high elves are gonna feel the pain. I hate his highborn on that emperor dragon.
just remember that a highborn is quite often wearing dragon armour so therefore he and he will not be wounded with fire and some of metal's spells so sniping him would be out but if he is on a star dragon then pit of shades will hit with relative ease since the dragons I is only 2 also if you take the JsoD he could fly out at the lord after you have hit the dragon with the pit if you do manage to pit the dragon and the highborn is just walking around then you might consider using some of your other spell on him first to either kill him which means that your JsoD can charge something else or at least make it so that he pretty much uses up his dispel before you leap granted that is a lot of mabye's
I wouldnt think so. Steal soul is not a fire based attack and it says it has no targeting restrictions whatsoever so im pretty sure I could snipe him off the dragon within two turns and make that big dumb expensive drake take a monster reaction test and hopefully sit in one spot for the rest of the battle so I can murder it with poisoned blowpipes.
