Well I have been out of the game for a while now so this is the list I plan on running this up coming weekend at my local game store. Please be critical and fair. I need to know which ways are best. I have put this list together to the best of my fuzzy knowledge. Lord Slann Mage Priest(275) The Focused Rumination(Free) Higher State of Consciousness(50) Shield of the Mirrored Pool(30) Heroes Skink Chief(55) War Spear(50) Skink Priest(65) Level 2 Wizard(35) Cloak of Feathers(25) Skink Priest(65) Character Total-650 Core Units 10-Saurus Warriors(110) 20-Saurus Warriors(220)Spears(20) Full Command(30) 20-Saurus Warriors(220)Spears(20) Full Command(30) 10-Skink Skirmishers(70) 2-Jungle Swarms(90) Core Units Total-700 Special Units 4-Terradon Riders(120) 20-Temple Guard(370) Full Command(35) Totem of Prophecy(50) Champion has Sword of Battle(20) 8-Saurus Cold One Riders(280) Full Command(50) Sun Standard of Chotec(40) Special Units Total-875 Rare Units Ancient Stegadon(275) -Ridden by the Skink Chief Army List Total=2,500points Well so far I Feel this is the best list. Let me know what you guys think, and thank you ahead of time for advice.
Lord Slann Mage Priest(275) The Focused Rumination(Free) Higher State of Consciousness(50) Shield of the Mirrored Pool(30) <- Not bad, but I'd switch Higher State of Consiousness for Focus of Mystery, and maybe give him The Becalming Cogitation. You could give Plaque of Tepok over Focus of Mystery. Heroes Skink Chief(55) War Spear(50) <- With the ancient stegadon up here and not in rare slot, this guy is pretty good. Skink Priest(65) Level 2 Wizard(35) Cloak of Feathers(25) <- This is fine with a slann. Lookout for shooters. Skink Priest(65) <- I'd make this guy a level 2, and try to put him on an Engine of the Gods.Maybe with wardrums and plaque of tepok? Core Units 10-Saurus Warriors(110) <- I'd drop these guys, two units of 18 and the 16 temple guard is enough big blocks. 20-Saurus Warriors(220)Spears(20) Full Command(30) <- This formation is OK, but I'd drop it down to 18 and rank 6x3 for maximum attacks. Also drop the champ if theres no character in the unit. 20-Saurus Warriors(220)Spears(20) Full Command(30) <- This formation is OK, but I'd drop it down to 18 and rank 6x3 for maximum attacks. Also drop the champ if there's no character in the unit. 10-Skink Skirmishers(70) <- This is good troubleshooting unit, I'd suggest get one or two more though. 2-Jungle Swarms(90) <- I'd drop these, they are USELESS. Special Units 4-Terradon Riders(120) <- These are Fine. 20-Temple Guard(370) Full Command(35) Totem of Prophecy(50) Champion has Sword of Battle(20) <- 16 of these work fine, and will save you some points. Easier to rank them up too. 8-Saurus Cold One Riders(280) Full Command(50) Sun Standard of Chotec(40) <- I'd drop these down to a maximum of 6, and if there's no character in the unit, don't bring a champ. Rare Units Ancient Stegadon(275) -Ridden by the Skink Chief <- This doesn't take up a rare slot, it goes under the heroes section as a mount for the chief. Overall this list isn't bad, just some minor changes, I'm sure with the little edits I gave you can spend up any free points, I didn't calculate how many you had so if you can't make all the edits I offered thats fine. If you have extra points a unit of 5 Chameleons Skinks would help, or a unit of 10 skink cohorts with no command to re-route a charge or such. Good Luck...
