For me, I've been alternating between Free Peoples and Seraphon for awhile. Even in 8th, I alternated between Empire and Lizardmen. I have other armies and can really play three of the four grand armies if I want, but Free Peoples with a mix of Ironweld Arsenal and Collegiate Arcanum is my secondary to Seraphon.
Stormcast works fantastically with Seraphon from experience as I have gotten around third place in tournerments with a Stormcast and Seraphon army but just do what excites you the most
Yeah, after the SCGT before the GH came out they had a seraphon and stormcast box set based on the winning army. I wish I had bought that while it was available.
This is so true. I struggled and wrestled with what army I was going to be pick when I started 40k years ago, and eventually realized that editions change, rules change, but -- if you don't like the way your army looks, or the background/story, and above all how fun (or not fun in some cases) it is to paint then its probably not worth it. I knew nothing about Age of Sigmar (other than what I had been reading over the past year since GH came out) but I have always loved Lizardmen, even Fantasy era. I'm a "one army" kind of guy, but -- I have looked at the other model ranges/factions too. I really really wanted to wait to see if/when they brought back the Dark Elves -- but I couldn't wait any longer. I'm secretly hoping they consolidate the Elf (Aelf now?) factions instead of the fragments they are in now. I would love an updated Wood Elf army too.
I've been having fun with my angry blood men in hinterlands but I don't think I'd want a full army. I do kinda want to start undead cause skeletons are cool and I like all the ghosts and stuff. Also Nagash looks super fun to paint, and build (dont know about transportation tho)
Im thinking about starting a tzeentch army. Also I'm getting in the habit of being each boxed game. They're decent value, frequently have something nice in them (all the heroes in the tower game), give you another game to play & they allow you to get a feel for the armies included.
Same train of thought here. I am going to paint Silver Tower stuff next, and I keep thinking how those models could help starting a small Tzeentch army...
Btw, do Pink Horrors need reinforcement points to make blue ones when they die? If yes: doesn't that suck?
eh, I'm not sure, they are a 140 points, with blue horros only being 50 and brimstone only 40. So they do have rather a steep prize if they'd have to pay twice. I would expect them to not need to pay twice.
Ughh..... so one of y'all says "dunno", one says "no", and one says "yes" ? THIS CLEARLY CALLS FOR A PIE EATING CONTEST!!! No seriously, is there an FAQ or something?
wait, Brimstones also explode? WTF??? I know nothing about Tzeentch I guess.. EDIT: Also: Source please?
