Hello all, update time! After doing a stock take on what I have, and what I need in order to run a starbeast constellation (the largest formation/battalion/warscroll thingy-majig in the Seraphon book) I realised that I need to finish all the models I currently have and buy 1 Start Collecting box for the bare minimum! (I think) As for bulking out the units, I might add another temple guard box, skinks and cold one cavalry box on top of that to bulk up the numbers (and after realising that i goofed up in not giving my newly finished temple guard unit a command group! D'oh!) and so that I no longer need to proxy one of the saurus units as temple guard. (might edit my first post to list out what needs painting/buying as a first page reference point) Right, now I need to get cracking with the painting...
Why, do you believe there is a correlation (or heaven forbid... causality) between posting and not painting? (says the guy with more posts than anyone... but no paint blog)What you doing posting then get painting![]()

Anyways, more pictures! Fresh off the painting desk there is Plastic Temple Guard, 3 filler models for my metal Temple Guard and unfinished Chakax/Eternity Warden. There are some details that need doing on the main unit (shrunken heads, eye pupils) but aside from that, they are pretty much done. With Chakax I've misplaced one of his arms, so I'm 'borrowing' an ork arm from my brother to fix and replace it with on his main weapon arm. That and after I plan on greenstuffing it together, I'll have to repaint the connection to the body. Oh the joys of painting in sub-assemblies! I use the 0.05 Sakura Pigma Micron

I think the 6th edition and 7th edition will have the same blue scheme akin to the 'eavy metal style. The 5th edition models (including the skinks and saurus) are based loosely on an old scheme from possibly the 5th edition army book or the lizardmen collectors range book GW released many years back (can't remember that well to be honest). I think the recipe for the green ones was black primer, caliban green base, loren green, then possibly mechanicus grey (or was it administratum? Hmm) for the ribbed chest area, a wash of biel-tan green all over for that rich shading then a layer of loren green/mechanius grey on their respective areas. Then caliban green for the back scales, bugmans glow for the mouth (afterwards a wash of carroburg crimson) then ushabti bone for the teeth/claws. Can't remember what I did for the eyes - that and instead of loren green for some of the kroxigor, I think I may have substituted it for Sybarite green and possibly Warboss green for a bit of differentiation.Fantastic kroxigors, you have some fro every edition of the Lizardmen! Looking forward to when they are all done an based, are they all going to share the same color scheme?
