Biggest issue so far is that anything with 1 hit point is pathetically weak from my playtesting... Instant loss when over half the warband runs away is also rough for smaller numbered warbands.

I was thinking that would be a problem. I'm counting on wary fighters on the skinks to help negate some of the damage, and bravery 10 to help a little too lol. Our Skirmish campaign is going to tie into our path of glory so I'm bringing my Ironjawz for this go round and using Lizardmen at home lol.

As always GW balanced that stuff so SCE, Ironjawz, Khorne Bloodbound and FCE are strong, and didn't give a Skaven's behind on anyone else.
Not playing until they fix the damn balance.

Also not playing until they make our heroes viable. What kind of BS is that? NONE of our melee heroes except the Oldblood on foot (which is the worst one IMO) can be played because they are either resin or monsters. F........

Yeah I'm really hoping they release the points for other heroes for all armies!

The system itself is pretty cool.
But the units available are horrible.

An army that I don't like (so I'm not biased in their favor)... Beastclaw Riders: just mournfangs. why? I get that behemoths are out, but no hunter? no frost sabres?

but wait! Gutbusters can use the Ironblaster! ...are you kidding me? there's literally no warmachine for no one, and those big fat bullies can take a friggin mounted cannon?!?

    Absolutely yes.
And to have a wizard is basically mandatory: now, even a basic arcane bolt, means instadeath for any single model with 1 wound, and you will force a battleshock test.

Not going to lie I'm bringing Ironjawz. We are starting at 30 points so I'm going to bring a Megaboss and 2 grots with bows to start lol.

Agreed. I played an oldblood with 3 saurus and 4 skinks against a tzentch force of an Herald, 3 pink horrors and 2 brimstone.
I was simply destroyed by magic and missile.
It was simply not fun and totally unbalanced.

Played a couple more games and the stuff Seraphon has available at lower points values is pretty much not worth playing, everything gets shredded.

I think we rely too much on unit cohesion and buffs to get anywhere... I'll be going with Fyreslayers and blowing things up from afar with Magmabolts instead!

@Likimeya could each pink horror cast a spell? A friend and I were wondering if they could, I know the rules of one are in effect for Skirmish. @Ritual I hear what you are saying, had a Stormcast player bting the Lord Celestant on foot and mortal wound spam everything to death in the shooting phase.

@Wazz only one punk horror cast a Magic missile, another one cast the Mystic Shield and the Herald cast the pink fire of tzentch.

    Our banners are almost useless.
Empire's banners are totally useless (and so dwarfs and Tomb Kings ones)

My first impression is that the kings in skirmish are (not in order): shooting, magic, fast meleers with 2+ wounds (basically flyers or cavalry)

I've toyed with bringing a Warchanter and 3 'Ard boyz (banner, drummer, and leader) its gone pretty well I usually win the first match in the campaign and then buy a Gor-grunta rider. Having multi wounds is really nice.

@Killer Angel our banners aren't toooo bad if you have enough and actually manage to kill something especially their general. Its just a big IF is all lol.

The problem is: in skirmish it's a special battletest shock.
Our stardrake icons let you add 1 to the result of a battleshock roll made for a unit within 5".
Skirmish doesn't use battleshock for units, but a test is made for models killed, using the bravery of the general.

By RAW, stardrake icons don't work at all.
By RAI, stardrake icons work... if they are within 5" from the enemy's general.

I believe this could be interesting to the ones saying (reasonably) there are too few units playable in AoSkirmish:
    http://www.tga.community/forums/topic/9851-age-of-sigmar-skirmish-full-points-list/#comment-103752

Take a look at that sweet pdf: even if it is not official, the points have been decided on the equation
" Skirmish unit cost = General Handbook cost : Minimum number of models in the unit : 5 "
(which is probably the one used by GW's Skirmish designers).

    Ex. 1
    Skirmish Sunblood = 120 : 1 : 5
    Skirmish Sunblood = 24

    Ex. 2
    Skirmish Kroxigor = 180 : 3 : 5
    Skirmish Kroxigor = 12

Hey guys, there's a store near my home that is making a skirmish tournament to 50 points and i would like to take part of it. Reading your post it seems that the seraphon are a bit weak for this kind of battles and i would like to ask which factions may be the most viable, it seems like there is some that are OP and others that are really weak..

@Portgas Ironjawz are all multi wound and can bring everything but the mega boss on maw krusha. The destruction alliance ability is pretty good. Stormcast have a lot of mortal wound stuff still, amd the super sniper guy.
