Hi all! this might be the incorrect forum to post this, but since I am primarely playing Seraphon and I really love this forum I wanted to hear what you guys has to say. I only have a few (3 or four) Saurus Guard left to paint then my army is complete, and i thought "why not start a second army while I still really enjoy the painting part" So what I would like to hear is what army do you suggest to pick up? My current Seraphon setup is heavily oriented in the aspect of magic. (Kroak with astrolith and a balewind vortex), so I want my next army to have a different playstyle! My only 4 armies that im not interested in are: Kharadron overlords (due to playstyle AND estetics) Sylvaneth (due to my friend that i face regulary uses them) Tzeentch (due to magic oriented playstyle) Wanderers (too crappy warscrolls IMO) I want my army to be competetive, but also fun to paint. At the moment i am quite fond of a death army (but zombies and skellies seems extremely boring to paint for battleline)
I would go Death, I'm selling mine at the moment as it gets no use but Death rattle can be a very tough army to beat, loads of possibilities for conversions to make some unique models. Don't think of them as boring to paint think of them as fast to paint.
Stormcast. Strong and you can do almost everything except magic. Also Ironjawz for pure melee smashin' Maybe Khorne? Also nice with mortal wounds, fast melee army wiht quite some options. How many skeletons do you sell? Pics?
I think I am going to aim for a more classic....skeletal look for my skeletons, but they sure look cool and your converted brettonian ghost riders are super cool.
Hi man Glad you posted it here. I just whent for the process of choosing a new army myself and I used 3 criteria to make my desicion in the following order of importance ( not saying that I you have to follow them but the certainly made me happy with my desicion) 1. Choose the models you like the most and that you believe gw is unlikely to discontinue: you will be spending hours looking at thwm ( painting them, assembling them, playing with them etc...) 2. Choose an army that plays different to seraphon: seraphon have a "good" performance in all phases depending on how you make your army but there are others that are stounding in one phase shooting ( skyre, sylvaneth, KO), Combat ( Ironjaws, Khorne blood bound), etc....Choose something that plays fifferwnt to what you allready play, It really helps refresh the game 3. Look at the individual army and within the army the specific lists you would like to play. Then look at the synergies it has and make shure you like both the rules abd the synergy interaction As a Final note, I would agree with @Ritual unless yoy have a very clear understanding of which army you want, wait for a new release it is rummored that aelfs and slaneesh are close in line for new releases. Ps: I chose Skaven mainly because of their minis and their fluff.
I hope you sell everything quickly and at a good price man! I have allready sold all the stuff I needed for the update of my army and I am happy with the result. With thst price I believe it is going to go wuicly
@Crowsfoot: And with all the gold you get you'll decorate your ziggurat and watch the masses from above
