That list even has rend. As soon as the enemy is a bit closer. And of course you would place the Razordons in a way that maximizes the chance to get the extra attack when something near them is charged. LOADS of attacks.
And the Slann can teleport them around for extra fun. :D

...and of course you can run the same list with Salamanders.

...but not going to happen if prices stay like they are. Those are over 300 euros of Razordons/Sallies.
    Edit: 384 to be precise.

I do believe that after some months that the ones in a hurry will pay lots of money on them, they 'll make a pack with 3 or 4 sallies / razordon combination so people will actually start buying them as they 're bound to be used way more often from now on. I'll just be patient and hope I'm right :p

Email GW. If enough people ask, they'll be quicker to figure out there's a high demand for them.

Thank you for posting that. I've been trying to tackle the price (and look of the model) issue myself and I kept looking at the Saurus Knight's cold ones, thinking how can I make that look into Razordon / Sally without it being ridiculous (cause the original lizardmen cold one certainly is). It never even crossed my mind to use those DE ones, despite seeing multiple Saurus Cavalry conversions with them.

Hell, I'll even double the amount of spikes and make em crouch more. Five better looking Razordons at the price of one original. Yes please.

Plenty of extra skinks with some form of spears left from Stega / Ripper & Basti kits if I ever need handlers. ezy pzy.

Why do you think that? One pack of greenstuff will be enough. Even plenty of excess talons/horns from many seraphon kits available, assuming one has bought stega kits/ripper kits before ans saved the bitz.

I mean you ALMOST get a 5 set of DE cold one knights for the price of one razordon hunting pack. 2 Euros apart and then whatever expenses go into greenstuff.

Besides the great idea for the proxy, let me tell you how awesome this color scheme is.

Huh. I guess you are right. Those are much less expensive than I thought.

Kinda makes one realize how bonkers GW pricing is on those hunting packs.

I saw those on Google! So stoked I came across it as it's such a great idea and ALOT cheaper @Aginor ;)

I'm going to work out how to reduce greenstuff possibly by making the hunp part out of something that gets the basic form and then cover with a layer of greenstuff. Plus if you make it a stronger foundation it will be easier to attach spikes without them breaking off all the time. I personally will be drilling the spikes and putting a bit of wire in to make them stronger on the model. The scales could be tricky though...

The way we can employ both is changing, and not only because of hordes (sallies are great against them too)

Razordons are going to become simply great: you pack a unit of 4 of them, the slann teleports it at 9" from the target and they shoot at 12", possibly re-rolling 1's to hit for constellation. And they can resist and shoot, possibly with +1 from curse of fate.
They will do the job of chama skinks, only better.

But Sallies are going to be the PERFECT filler when you have few points to complete the army.
list with 960 pts? bam, one sally.
The enemy can do just 2 things: kill it or ignore it.
In the first case, he's using a costly unit to deal with 40 pts, wasting power.
in the second case, you'll have a sally that will blast something, almost surely taking a heavy toll.
It's a win-win, currently I'm always including a single sally in my lists, and man, it works!

I've got 5 Drakespawn Knights on order for the conversions! Can't wait to be teleporting these nasties into the faces of my opponents :p

I ended up buying TWO Skink boxes. This provided me precisely enough models for:
    - 40 basic Skinks
    - 5 Chameleon Skinks (with greenstuff love)
    - 3 Skink Handlers (pictured below)

With the Drakespawn Knight box I bought, I'll have my three Skink Handlers, 4 Razordons, and 1 Salamander (with some conversion from the Troglodon set from the Start Collecting -- that acid spit piece and the fins are going to look great on it!).

(Sorry, I definitely thought those images would be smaller)

You are right in that Salamanders are better at killing high wounds and Razordons are better at killing low wound high model count units. Another thing to consider is that Salamanders only have 8" range. This means that if you use Lords of Space and Time to flank with salamanders then you also need to jump the Handlers with them (unless you roll a 5/6) to allow them range for their attack.

This is an old thread of mine but it seems to always remain relevant!

Personnally I've chosen the Razordons as my go to in any situations, they're so much more reliable than the Salamanders, atleast for my taste. I put them in a Thunderquake next to an Astrolith Bearer and they just shred, sometimes even more than the Bastiladons!

I love razordons, their rate of fire is impressive, however there are moments when you need sallies. Luckily, we can summon them in the same way as razors, so you can decide at the moment

if you plan to teleport sallies, then it's probably the case to buff them with curse of fate, so LoSaT works 50% and you increase also the chance of triggering the subsequent burning.

The Topics of units are a key discussion of a forum, how about this:

We already have 5 main topics
    -discussion
    -army
    -tactics
    -reports
    -rules

can we not just add a 6th one with " Seraphon units" , where we can discuss the pros and cons of every units.
so we dont have the same topics every 5 weeks and we have a good way for new players to read exactly something
    about the units they like.

It doesn't need a forum heading all you need is a thread where each unit is discussed and I will sticky it.

This is probably something @Killer Angel could do
