I use Nitril gloves when working with epoxy putty since Latex doesn't block that stuff (bisphenol-a).
So yeah that works but to be honest I don't like using gloves - even tightly fitting ones - too much as they block my tactile sense more than I like. That's why I was searching for an alternative.

    EDIT:
The other things I don't like about epoxy putty are these
    - I tend to mix too much and then it hardens and I can throw it away
    - the price

Why not reverse the colours used on your Chamo's for Oxyotl?

    That's a good idea!
Hmm... that would make him dark red with green spots... Could work but I'll have to use a slightly brighter green, otherwise the spots won't be visible.
I'll do a test with those colors and see.

    Thank you!

So now so have five, five to go (plus Oxyotl).
I'll do the bases when all of them are finished.

They look great so far! I really like the conversions, the tiny heads remind me of a dilophosaurus head

    Update:
Last night I prepared the six future chameleon Skinks (except cutting their tails off, I'll do that when I attach the new tails).
I also made eight tails (in case I break one or two), 20 eyes (in case some don't fit or I lose some because they are tiny) and fit the casquets on the Skink's heads. So now I only have to attach the eyes and tails and cover up the seams with liquid green stuff and I am ready for painting the rest of my Chameleons.
    Probably tonight.

In parallel I am working on my Skeletons, slowly though as the Skinks somehow took priority. After they are done I'll continue with the Skellies. My original plan was to finish all my Undead in November but I probably won't make it. Aiming for "before Christmas" now.

    I bought me this:

    20171116_205752.jpg

That's a cheap China manufactured nail laquer shaker. Pretty neat to give those Army Painter paints a nice shake. Those bottles are very full when they are new. That makes them hard to shake. But you should shake them very well because their pigments sometimes separate from the carrier liquid if they are stored for some amount of time.

Not a problem if you can shake them well. Agitator balls help (I used some little glass stones because those don't get rusty) but it still wasn't perfect. So now I went full decadence mode and got me that shaker for 20€ or so via eBay. You can get the same on Amazon for around 40€. Took four weeks to ship but no additional cost.

That is awesome! It would probably come in very handy with my Vallejo paints which seem to separate quite a bit (for some reason I never have that problem with citadel paints).

Probably because Citadel paints rather just become dry. The paint is much thicker and those pots are crap IMO.

    The five new chameleons, WIP.

And here is Oxyotl, also WIP of course.

...I am having second thoughts about the paint job. The red turned out darker than planned. I guess I will drybrush it with a lighter red and hope it gets some contrast back.
...and I have no clue how the bright green dots (probably moot green since it covers well) will look.

....I admit I haven't tested the paint scheme on some test part like I planned to so I am basically going blind from here on.

Not much progress from me as I was sick for more than a week which seriously limited my abilities. With a running nose, constant coughing and monstrous headache I just cannot paint.
Nevertheless I did some simple stuff like a bit of basecoating on my next five Black Knights and my horribly ugly new skeletons.
Last night I felt quite well again so I did some work on my Chameleon Skinks and Oxyotl.
Maybe I will finish them today so expect pictures soon!

My next project is a bit of a problem:
After the Black Knights I originally wanted to build Skeleton Guards and the Shadespire Skeletons. My problem with that is:
I am kiiiiinda sick of painting Skeletons right now so now I am wondering what I should do:
    1. Power through, those are my last Skeletons, after those my army is pretty much finished. Also I prefer to play Shadespire with painted models.
    2. Build my Bastiladon and/or my second set of Terradon riders and then come back to the Skellies.

    Hmmm...

Come back to the skellies you will benefit more that way.

I'm working through my Black Templar when I get sick off them I do some Death guard or Seraphon and in between all that I look at terrain.

Stuff got into the way so I accomplished next to nothing that I had hoped for...

...at least I got some Skinks done.
I improved quality a tiny bit but since I am not too eager to spend so much time with simple Skinks those are not too fancy.
The bases are very plain but so are those of my other Skinks so those fit together nicely.

Now I have exactly 60 Skinks which is perfect for my usual 40-10-10 I like to play.
Next best thing would be 40-40-10 but I don't see me doing another 30 Skinks anytime soon since I have other stuff I want to do.

Chameleons still lack their bases, perhaps I'll manage to do those tomorrow...

    Thanks!
It is kinda old-school I guess but I like them blue and rather bright.
Also it is very easy since those are actually primed in that color and just shaded and drybrushed a little.. :D

Yeah, that's one major thing that attracted me to Lizardmen; the bright colors! All the colors of the jungle, available to use in one army!

What do you mean "simple skinks" Skinks rule we all know that.

They look good if you wanted too you can shade the eye with orange but only shade the back third and then add a dot of white.

Oh I love Skinks but... painting mass units is something that I get tired of very quickly.
After a few I want them to be done and paint something more interesting.

    About the eyes...
I tried a few things on some extra heads from sauruses and a Skink handler, and what I really would like to do is get those pupils on the eyes. If I have a good day I can do it.
    ...but on 60 Skinks?.... damn...
Your suggestion sounds pretty good but I cannot really imagine how it would look like to be honest.
Do you have an image somewhere depicting what style that would be? I always like to orient a bit on movies or comics. My Skinks' and Saurus eyes are meant to look a bit like...
(Pictures in a few minutes. Phone doesn't like me right now)
