Hello all! Seems like an eternity since last I posted, but in the time that has passed I have graduated, changed jobs twice, and moved out from home. As busy as I have been, I've been keeping at the hobby as well. Now that life is settling down again, I'm hoping to regularly (fingers crossed!) update my blog weekly every Monday night to keep me going strong with the hobby. Not all my shenanigans have been dinosaur related, but my denizens of Lustria will be making appearances from time to time.
To begin with, I've finally got a gaming table all my own! One that is standard size.
The buildings are papercraft models from Dan Griffin, and they can be purchased on Wargame vault. The table is built atop two folding aluminum tables, with two 3 panel presentation boards velcroed on top. A green cloth purchased from a fabric store finishes off the basic look. However, the table looked a little empty, so I decided that I needed to build some roads.
These roads are built from foamcore and Popsicle sticks. The Terrain Tutor on youtube has some handy tutorials on how to build roads which I more or less followed with minor tweaks. After they're done they end up looking like this.
One of my temple guards for scale. Continuing on from here I have lots of road to go. I made them to be modular and so I can change the layout of the roads from game to game. Next week I should have more then the one section done!
