Amazing army you have there. Looks like it took a good amount of work and it really shows. You have some great conversions and the army sits really well together as a whole. Inspiring work!

    Thanks, all. :)

Xtapl and the Sacred Host of Xaxlachaq are heading out to an IndyGT today...I'll keep you posted as to how they do! I'm pretty excited, although the reality that I will only have one unit of Terradons (stupid 2250 still making me madfaced) is beginning to set in...

    Well.

It's been a while since this army began, but now that I'm updating to Age of Sigmar, I thought I'd keep you posted on what's happening to it.

First thing, I want to add some of the new models to my collection, and the one I really want to paint is the Carnosaur/Troglodon. For now, it's a Troglodon, but through some clever cutting, massaging, and strategic gluing, I managed to make the head/neck/oracle into one piece that can be attached and removed with a simple twisting. So now I can go back and build the Saurus/Howdah in the same way, and make it an interchangeable model. :)

    The before shot:

Coming to get you real soon! Pics when I'm all done...

Very nice! Can't wait to see the finished product... judging from what I see here...

*does it count as necromancy is people reanimate their own threads??;)*

Nice to see this thread resurfacing.
New guys like me haven't seen it yet. Nice paint scheme on that big dinosaur!

Okay. So I've finished. I realized that in the years since I was playing regularly and painting professionally, I have totally forgotten how to take pics of minis. :D

So not the best photos in the world, but here's my finished Troglodon:

    I quite like him. :)

Like I said, his head/skink is detachable, so I'll be painting up the alternate Carnosaur/Saurus head attachment soon. Meantime, with a somewhat heavy heart, I will be liberating a good chunk of my 8th edition army from their square bases and shifting them onto rounds. Over the next three days. So that I can play in a tournament on Saturday.

Because I am a glutton for punishment. :D

Thoughts and comments are always welcome!

I think my only point of critique would be that the rider is so similar to his mount concerning his color. I kinda like to have a bigger rider-mount-contrast.
But that's purely a matter of taste, the model looks very cool, that's a great paint job.

You have some amazing stuff on your army blog!

I love how you have based your army, it really gives it a great theme. Were those all custom bases? My favorites were probably the salamanders/custom kroxigor unit fillers, and that epic skink priest on a palanquin. Your army is quite unique!

What else do you plan to do!
