As a parent I am a bit torn between saying "OMG those dumb kids don't deserve better" and wondering what kind of disinformation and peer pressure might really make kids bite into those things and thus approve of banning videos showing people doing it.
It is the internet, so ultimately it can not be banned. I think the more you try to hide it away, the more appealing it might become; a forbidden (albeit toxic) fruit if you will. I actually think the opposite approach might be more effective. Don't try to hide it, but rather confront it. Education is the remedy to ignorance. Detail and show the ugly side of the practice. Equip kids with all the information about the consequences and hopefully they will make wiser decisions. If after all that they still decide to proceed, then from the perspective of this non-parent, let the chips fall where they may. Darwinism at work! @PhoenixTheCat
Here is some great advice for all you married men. Let your wife go into the bedroom first, and wait until she is lying down. Then come in with a glass of water, and four aspirin. Offer it to her, and when she asks what it is for, say: "A headache!" She will probably say "but I don't have one..." yell: "GREAT!!!!" And jump into bed.
