"At most, an astronaut without a suit would last about 15 seconds before losing consciousness from lack of oxygen. (That's how long it would take the body to use up the oxygen left in the blood.) Of course, on Earth, you could hold your breath for several minutes without passing out. Aug 1, 2007"
That is what I read as well. It is worth noting that you could survive a little bit longer after you lost consciousness, provided that someone eventually got you out of the vacuum. Either way, it is definitely an inhospitable environment!
And don't forget that she would be fried by the Radiation! Even if she survived, she would be sooooo sick from the radiation. She'd probably get cancer.
Navy gets no respect? For a good reason! I remember a few years ago, I heard comment from an Air Force officer on the cultural differences between the Navy and the Air Force. In the Air Force, they tell you to bail out and they'll get you a new plane. In the Navy, they expect the Captain to go down with his ship. And that's why you join the Air Force.
+1 it was ridiculous and horrible at the same time. I hope to forget it one day... another +1. what a collection of +1! Not a surprise i didn't liked the movie...
Agreed. I'm pretty sure the rank the Star Wars films thread was created specifically for debating. This is supposed to be for jokes!
Save it for the Star Wars threads. We have plenty of them already. I am a huge Star Wars fan myself, and even I'm getting a little bit tired with how it seems to be taking over every thread on the forum.
