I'm working on movement trays for round bases for my basing supplies business. Would you use them? Currently looking at groupings of 4/5/6
Mine are textured. Also they come in a variety of configurations, some of which I've never seen available commercially
They really are. Not too severe for my 60 Skinks as those aren't in melee usually, I just use a piece of cardboard... But the 100 Skeletons...
Y'all realize these for sale, I have a combo deal with bases, and you can get them in any of 14 or so textures, right?
Probably not worth it to send them to Germany though, would it? My main gripe design wise is that I would like to have the bases as close to each other as possible, because for example Skeletons can hit with their third row, but only if their bases are basically touching each other.
Nice idea but I agree with @Aginor you want the gaps smaller so your unit is more compact, come to think about it, would you not just take them off the tray when you pile in @Aginor ?
Sure, that would work. But I would like to avoid it if possible. The other thing I am still thinking about is style. My Seraphon have dirt/gras bases so I would consider having trays fitting to that, and my Skeletons have winter bases. So for me plain bases without a lot of texture, or movement trays with a "dirt" or "sand" texture would be ideal since I have the same texture on all my bases, just with different stuff (gras or snow respectively) on it. As for the number... right now I would need 30-40 trays that can each fit 5x25mm round bases. At Fantasywelt.de I can buy six (made of HDF, without any texture) for 5€ so the 40 trays would cost me around 35€.
They look awesome! I wish I could use this for the 90 Skinks! But each time my units of Skinks look like giant twisty snakes and never got the same shape...
I don't understand why your units would look like snakes? Although that would be very lizardmen like now that I think about it
Well on both counts here we go: I don't currently offer any grass or dirt themed textures. That's not to say I don't want to I just don't have the tools available. Ask for winter themed textures the texture I Showcase in pictures above is actually supposed to be cracked ice so you might be able to work with that. A v slot tray for 25mm bases from me is $2.75. due to agreement with my MDF supplier I have to sell my trays or bases with texture. That doesn't mean I can't sell the texture off of the bases so that you have plain bases but I do have to sell texture with it. I completely understand if you go with the cheaper option. I try to make my bases and items in general pretty decent on the price
I think that's an OK price for textured bases. I am not sure what I even want though, shape and texture wise.
Current shapes below. More to come. If there are duplicates left side is 25mm right Is 32mm Textures available: Norse/fantasy Runic Mayan ruined temple Crusader temple Cracked earth Cobblestone Double Diamond deck plating Egyptian ruins Greek tile Elven temple Fieldstone brick Temple of the old ones Persian palace Plain texture (great for making slabs of concrete)
is there any tactical merit to making a wider rank where the second rank is more like a one and a half rank ?
