Little bit of an update; new photos coming in tomorrow, I'm gonna post the rest of my Seraphon and Tzeentch stuff that's allready done and then we FINALLY move on to the present day stuff! I'll be taking a much more ''step-by-step'' approach and show which paints and techniques I'm using. Currently doing my second Bastiladon, can't wait to show you guys!
Allright boys today I post the remainder of the past stuff! Let's start this off with the Razordons! Quite simple painting done for these guys, I'll probably go back eventually and highlight their spikes a bit more!
Here are some skinks I've done. I recently bought another box of 20, so I'll have those to paint but they most likely will be painted like these. Took these photos late, my angle/lighting was bad and I'm sorry!
Next up Chameleon skinks! Those guys were a pleasure to paint, even though doing 10 at the same time needed good concentration...
That should be it for the Seraphon stuff! Quick list of other Seraphon units I own but won't show: -15 Saurus Guard, bought them fully painted on square bases, they're lovely but I won't take credit for them! -Slann Starmaster, currently being repainted so I might post WIP pics at some point. -Bastiladon, currently being re-based with my new bastiladon who is almost done being painted, we'll see those guys in a very near future! -Saurus Astrolith Bearer, bought this one fully painted a while ago but he recently broke down and I can't seem to be able to fix him (him being made of metal, it is REALLY tough trying to fix the banner...). BUT, I have ordered a new Saurus Astrolith Bearer today so I can paint one of my own! Expect to see this guy show up in here and I might enter him in the Sotek contest on the forum! To be continued! Next photos coming are the remaining Tzeentch units done!
I started this hobby about a year and a half ago, so with AoS in full force. I've seen some of the old skinks model with bows and I find them interesting but I do prefer the blowpipes! I probably don't have the nostalgia factor going on for me
Allright not much is left in the Tzeentch area: let's get some beastmen in here! Love the Tzaangors models in all their variations! here they are, including some Skyfires and Enlightened!
And that's it for Tzeentch! Quick list of what's left to paint / future projects! -10 Brimstone Horrors -3 x Flamers of Tzeentch -20 x Kairic Acolytes - Converted Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount, basicly a Chaos Lord on foot on top of a Screamer of Tzeentch, a bit more of a thematic steed! I should be tackling these in the future but I don't know when, since I also have a whole mixed Destruction army that I have to paint! We'll probably do a bit of both to mix things up! We are now in the present day stuff, and I should start to post pictures of my bastiladons on monday! See you guys then!
Hey everybody! I'm back with the step-by-step painting of my new Bastiladon! I'll probably upload the whole thing during the week, so make sure to come back and check out the progress! Allright let's do this! We got our 4 parts in sub-assembly primed and ready to paint!
My first bastiladon has a blue shell, and I wanted to have something different for this one. I decided to go with a bright red shell to contrast his big brother. But first, the skin, which was based in Averland Sunset.
I then proceeded to wash all over the skin using Agrax Earthshade. I wait about an hour to make sure it is completely dry.
While waiting for the shade to dry I painted the shell in Mephiston Red to give it a bright red base.
