I think that as of this posting time just about every resin model in the Seraphon line (except for the Kroxigor and the hybrid plastic/resin Saurus Scar Veteran on Cold One) is listed as "Temporarily Out of Stock Online" at the USA website. Which is frustrating as I'd like some more Razordons and I've been trying and failing to get a Skink Priest with Feathered Cloak for weeks. Every time I get the email that says they're available again, they're gone by the time I can get online to order! (I actually don't know if the Skink Priest with Feathered Cloak is plastic or resin, I've never seen one in real life!)
It is a resin model, and it is beautiful. Here is mine: About the unavailability... Yeah that sucks. You can try a non-GW shop and check if they do GW mail order. I know at least one online shop (here in Germany though) who does that.
I’ve been looking online for stuff lately cause the gw online shop is always out. Gonna pic up a set of kroxigor from gw Friday if they do not run out before then.
Oops sorry that was probably me picking up 5 razordons I figure everyone else has their stuff by now!
When I change my ship-to to a UK address, a lot more stuff shows as available, so it's not that the models aren't out there, it's just that they're in a warehouse in England and not a warehouse in Tennessee. A guy at the local GW shop told me that the practice for the overseas (overseas from GW Headquarters) distribution centers is to let the resin models sell all the way down to zero and base restocks on the number of times logged in customers have hit the "email me when this is available" button. He could have been making that up (he makes a lot of stuff up!). I started collecting and building on the 40K side, with metal Sisters of Battle, and have found the same periodic droughts in model availability to be true with them. There for awhile I just ordered whatever was available whenever it was available and now have an overly large collection of that army primed and in storage (or in the case of some of the vehicles and my Penitent Engines, unbuilt even). I wonder if I'll get those painted before the plastic sculpts come out! Right now, though, I'm concentrating on AoS and my Seraphon, across the whole hobby: collecting, building, painting, and playing (I normally include reading in that list, but there's unfortunately not much to read about the Seraphon in current continuity that I haven't read already). And I'm having a blast. Except that I still need that Skink Priest with Feathered Cloak. And some more Razordons. And a bunch more Warriors and Guard. And so on, and so on...
Yes, sir. Lexington, Kentucky. Where the local Games Workshop location (people find this amusing sometimes) is Games Workshop Man o' War. It's named after a nearby road, which was in turn named after a horse. Lots of the streets and roads around here are named after horses.
Thanks! I am very proud of that model, it turned out much better than I thought it would be. Of course when I look at it now I see that I could paint it better, but when I painted it I was doing the hobby for ~3 months and I remember being thrilled while painting because it developed so awesomely right before my eyes. My main tip for bright colors: Prime white. It makes a huge difference (unless you are using very thick paint).
My local GW store has told me this before. If you want a restock you need people requesting emails about an items restock. I fully believe this to be true. Sad to hear razordons are out again, was waiting for those but then spent too much on other stuff. If someone buys a bunch of something I expect that triggers a bigger restock too as thats how stores get stocked based on purchase history at the store.
I still kinda hope GW gets sick of producing that many resin models (Razordons for example are rather popular it seems) and decided to make plastic ones....
