    Hello Lustria!

I have been an on and off again painting and wargamer for about 4-5 years. I have dabbled in a little bit of everything. I also paint DnD miniatures. I'm going to share some of my minis and some of my current WIPs. I have a fairly busy life right now so future posts my be varied in terms of timing, but I hope this encourages me to paint more. I am a decent painter and I'd be happy to answer any questions or listen to your advice!

Start things off with some older, table top quality DnD models. I paint these pretty quickly to just a tabletop level:

Those look great. I enjoyed painting that dwarf a few years back. I love how you layered the beard!

The tattoos on the barbarian are awesome too

Next up is a little higher quality mini and my current WIP Seraphon :) The Stegadon still has bit too go, but the skinks are nearly finished. Let me know what you think!

I'm not very good at taking pictures of minis. I will wait for some sunshine and try a white backdrop next time. These are a little washed out. But I hope you like them!

Epic highlight work. How long did each skink take?

Also, I know they are taked on a cap, but your skinks are always open?

Thank you! I usually hot glue them to whatever I painting them on. I popped them off and stood them on top of the Stegadon to see how they looked.I spent a good amount of time of the skinks. Maybe 3 sessions of 2 hours? Can't remember. I am slow painter :) Still working on my green color. I did bright pre-highlighting and then a lot of thin washes/shades. First time I tried heavy glazing rather just then just a million thin layers.

Ah. My recipe nets me a box of skinks in 4-6 hours with no interruptions. @NIGHTBRINGER calls me the speed demon for some Reason

Those skinks look really good and will contrast well against the red steggie ;)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This is my first time ever sharing some of my work, so I really appreciate it!

If anyone is curious I took parts of the following paint guide, http://wappellious.blogspot.com/p/using-shaded-basecoat-technique-to.html and applied them to how I painted the skinks. First time I got outside my normal basecoat and thin layers box. I'm going to keep working on it!

This was the first time I painted this way and this color scheme. I also took the time to write down the different steps and colors. I usually take my time on fast batch or so of units, exploring colors and shades. Then when you lock in a system, you can pump units out more efficiently.

I want to try some Zenithal highlighting for the first time on a whole batch of Skinks, to see if it the preshading speeds things up.
