Hi all! I am a former 40k player and new to AoS as a whole. I recently purchased Seraphon as well as the General's Handbook 2017. I have noticed recently that the points I see in the book seem to be different than the points that everyone is detailing when listing their armies here on the forum. For ex: Lord Kroak is listed at 450 here on the forum, but is 560 in the General Handbook. Am I missing something? Did I purchase an old book? Thanks in advance guys!
The first General's Handbook lists Lord Kroak for 540 points (according to the version I have here in the app). The 2017 update lists him for 450 points.
Wow, I definitely have the 2016 version. Mine has a chaos lord on the front. The shop owner listed and sold it to me as 2017. Totally took advantage of me as a new player.
Plus, the 2017 book contains A LOT of shiny improvements for Seraphon. A really stupid behavior for a shop owner, it will bite him back.
IDK if its against the rules or not, but im personally in favor of putting that LGS/owner on blast. Call me an old school sergeant, but a man stands by his word and if hes gonna be scum then you have a responsibility to prevent him from taking advantage of other new players
UPDATE: I went into the same store and explained my situation. They were happy to take the 2016 version and give me a 50% discount on the 2017 edition! Not all is lost and I definitely feel comfortable going back there.
With this development Yes, It probably was. Good! But must be said that also the ghb17 is running toward its deadline, with the incoming new edition.
Yes, indeed. But that another question. I don't think that you can stop selling the ghb17 because the new edition is near, because, it's not here for the moment. I had the same experience last year when I bought the gbh16, and only 1 or 2 month after the gbh17 was release.
