arcane bolt isnf so much nerfed as its just made mostly pointless. And mystic shields interactions now are just weird, it seems far more extreme now, either its redundant or not all that good or it turns an already sturdy target into something night unkillable.

i do hope this means we get a proper overhaul of magic and shootinf. And not just a handfull of baindaid rules that end up causing more problems of their own while only fixing some very specific cases..

Also for Fyreslayers it is part of the Auric Runefather on Magmadroth’s command ability, along with rerolling Battleshock tests.

I’m certainly liking the spell lores for whichever realm you’re fighting in - reminds me of the 8 generic lores in Fantasy which were based on the 8 winds of Magic that now make up the 8 Mortal Realms.

I like the Realm-specific spell lores as well, but wonder how much use they'll see in matched points play or at tournaments. My hope is that they're presented in such a way that they're pretty much always used, or at least in such a way that makes their use attractive. I think some people are worried about being spoiled for choice, especially if they don't know what realm they'll be playing in in advance. Being a hyper-preparer myself, I'm sympathetic to that--my impression is that the concern has to do with not being able to plan synergies and so on in advance to the degree one can now--but at the same time anything that adds variety and flavor on a game by game basis seems cool to me.

Perhaps GW will have a system that randomly determines the realm you fight in or something. Certainly in Storm of Magic, an expansion to 8th Edition fantasy I have a copy of, the ascendant spell lore was determined by spinning a spinner they included in the book. In fact if I get round to playing AoS I’ll use that spinner to determine which realm my opponent and I are fighting before each game.

I honestly thought that Tzeentch were dominating the meta right now with their ability to spam mortal wounds, unless I’m missing something.

Is this some sort of Sylvaneth trick deceiving me?

The nerf to arcane bolt for us is not good, but i won't miss the shield.
Treelord ancient with mystic shield and rerolls was almost unkillable

    Mine was a bitter irony.
Tzeentch is already over the top, to give them a 30" dispel is the same to say "don't even try to bring magic users against Tzeentch. We don't want it".

to be honest that seems problematic for determining your strategies. Unless the various lores will have spells that fullfill similar niches it can get weird quickly. E.g. if one lore gives loads of direct damage spells but another gives loads of buffs to stats it'l be paramount to know which one it is so you don't end up counting on getting say those damage spells to deal with some powerfull monster and instead have to make do with buffed skinks with blowpipes to try and get through that re-rollable 2+ save monstrousity or something. If it's random wizard based armies could lose pretty much by default if the lore they get doesn't fit well with the army.

It still has re-rolls, it still as a 3+ save, it still heals (I think). Not like this changes much, im sure it can get that +1 to saves somewhere.…

To be honest, tzeentch still isn't that bad. At least Kairos and a lord of change can only unbind 2 spells and are the only ones with direct bonusses to unbinding. Unlike Nagash with his 8 unbinds and +3 to all rolls… unless you're facing 4 lords of change there's still some plausible hope you can get a spell through. With nagash you might as well give up immeadiatly.

With their lowest matching the highest dice and +1. They can easily dispell you for 2 spells.
Combined with Look out Sir and no shooting out of combat. It will be even tougher to kill now. Only way I see fit is in CC. Where only the shadowstrike has a guarantee to do, before getting Beamed to death.

Unfortunatly the Shadowstrike, Thunderquake and Kroaknado have been hurt by the LoS, Shooting out of combat and Dispell range. Really hope theire will be something to make that up!

    - new magic lore for Seraphon
    - Slann +2 to spell and unbind
    - easy summon mechanism

PS: or I am forced to go 4 EotG and beam 3-4 d6 into my enemies!

Edit: LOC cant benefit from LoS, it’s a monster.

i have heard some rumors from (unreliable) sources that the Seraphon will get a major update/re-release sometime at the end of next year. These rumors are faulty, and might be complete bollocks, but it is something i hope is true.

I don't see how Seraphon fit into the current story trajectory at all.

We're heading for the worst kept secret of all time, Slaanesh breaking out of prison and going full blown all over the shop. Slaanesh and Seraphon have very few links, other than really when Slaanesh pillaged Lustria for phat loot.... Let's not forget that pillaging was led by Morathi, who was only really a follower of Slaanesh.

I'd like to believe it, but sadly Seraphon just aren't featuring in the lore at the moment because they're not interesting, like, at all. Apart from the Slann all Seraphon are memories. Memories aren't interesting, they don't have personality, they can't do anything new.

They need to review the lore a bit, the Slann need to find a way to bring the actual Seraphon back to life so we can get new named characters, new stories to revolve around them....

Until then, forget any new models. We just don't feature in GWs master plan right now, they don't know what to do with us.

    But this tho:

Week 4: A Stitch In Time

You managed to pull things back from the brink by constructing a chronomantic cannon, a superweapon from the Age of Myth with the power to disrupt its victims’ timestreams. You banished Khul and the Orb Infernia to an earlier point in their timeline, giving the Seraphon who once defended the orb another chance at victory. Will we see more of these mysterious celestial warriors in future?

Our story can also be quite easy as we are the backup soldiers of sigmar. Sprouts of his best friend dracothion. I certainly dont think Seraphon is at end. I guess the story will develop some to where sigmar gets in trouble, and poof we shoot in. All armed up and updated (stormcast armour :)?) Maybe that takes a while to develop, say a year? :(

I hope your right but that sentence could be never now if it said " We will see more of these mysterious celestial warriors in future"

Agreed. But it would be so cruel if the awnser would be no. And somewhere sigmar is gonna get in trouble for shure. Let Dracothian bail him out once more
