    Here is my third Razordon.

I wanted to keep him in the same style as my other two, but this time I tried to give it a bit more contrast and paint the details a bit better.
Unfortunately I screwed up a bit with the shade, the weird surface of the resin didn't help either.
The base is obviously a lot better, and so are the details. Both of the other Razordons were painted two years ago, shortly after I started with painting.

    So here he is:

And here he is together with his older brothers. The left one is from 2016, the middle one from 2017.

They look great. The one of the right-hand side turned out really sharp.

You can clearly see the improvement you have made over the 2 years, I'm just assembling mine atm but it may be a while before I get any painting done.

My little one has started not going to bed so I am on guard duty.

Not quite sure but while painting the guy below these lines from an Oasis song came to my mind.

"It's a bit early in the midnight hour for me
To go through all the things that I wanna be
    I don't believe in everything I see
You know I'm blind so why d'you disagree"

    Also:
    Here are some girls!
Would you swipe right or left?
(The guy above swiped right. They look like fun don't they? Especially all three at the same time. Some screaming might be involved. That's how they roll.)

He is from the Mortis Engine.

And I guess that's what I deserve for having two unfinished projects on the table:

From below (omg so many details that nobody will be able to see on the finished model and I painted them anyway...)

Very nice @Aginor . What colours/techniques did you use for the bone/skeletons?

Love the melting candles! It looks just like wax, incredible job!

I'm glad that you said it comes from the Mortis Engine, I actually have that kit but haven't opened it up yet, but your pics are really tempting me to... I'm seeing all these cool details of the model that the box art doesn't really show.

I like that you are going with true bones on your Mortis Engine. I pretty much only see them as spectral.

    Thanks!

That's primed white, then painted with Army Painter's "Skeleton Bone" and then shaded with a sepia shade (Army Painter "Soft Tone")
Sometimes I drybrush bone with a soft white afterwards, but I haven't done that here yet.

If the majority of a model is bone you might also use the Army Painter color primer, it is also available in Skeleton Bone. I have done that for quite a few models. Not for that one though, the can was empty and I wanted to try priming with the airbrush anyway.

    Thank you!
For the wax I intentionally used the color a bit more thickly and not as even as I normally would try to, and I didn't shade it. That gives it a more waxy look.

    Thanks!
That's really a thing that bothers me about the box art. It looks so...grey. the material is obviously bone but they decided to use that dark color. It does contrast well with the green ectoplasm, but overall I think it actually lacks contrast.
I figured it wouldn't fit my army that well, so I will use my usual Deathrattle recipe for all the skeleton parts and tone down the spectral aspect a bit, except with the banshees and the cloudy stuff around the bottom, which I painted in my usual green ghost recipe.
I also noticed that this model has LOADS of tiny details that GW practically didn't paint at all, which is a waste. I painted all the skulls, vines, and roses, the wax, the locks, the weapon and armor parts and so on.

Of course that means that I already spent several days painting it, and will spend some more before it is finished, but I really like that model and want it in my army. :)

Finished these for my brother (nothing fancy, just painted the black parts). 20181127_214954.jpg

Those are lamps. For a pretty big RC boat.

    Thanks!
Most of it is done by now, I hope I can finish it soon.

Unfortunately my painting slows down a bit right now, as my hand looks like this:

    20181129_104554.jpg

Wearing a brace because I have a thumb sprain.

I tried painting while wearing the brace, and it does kinda work, but it is hard.

Painted so hard you sprained your thumb? That's pretty badass.

    Haha, no, unfortunately not.
    It happened doing sport!

I was playing American Football..... on the PS4.

No, just kidding, it was ACTUAL sport. I did pushups and kinda... fell onto my hand or something. In fact I don't really remember.
First I didn't really notice. Sure it hurt a bit, but not severe. Only when it still hurt four weeks later I decided to go to the doctor.
