Everyone likes Moose! (Except when they charge your car, or you for that matter). We used to have Moose in Britain you know... hundreds of years ago. They are extinct here now (unfortunately for all moose fans, but fortunately for everyone’s cars).
My wife loves them! Usually they just get hit by cars... and the people in the cars seldom fare well. That is sad.
I don’t know if this would be to hard but wouldn’t it be cool to make one of a slann sitting on a palanquin?
And here is the last one of this year (also for my wife), this one took the longest to complete... The piece is not dyed at all. It is assembled from different species of wood: Yellowheart / Pau Amarello Poplar Maple Walnut Canarywood
Thanks. I've been wanting to create projects like this for a long time, but I never had access to thin (1/4") exotic wood. I finally found a store that sells such stock and is within a somewhat reasonable driving distance.
that turtle is really wonderful. I really like how the green wood shows lines that replicate the growth of the turtle's scales.
Thank you kindly! I purchased that green poplar specifically for this project. I really like the colour and as you say, the grains of the wood add to the piece.
