AoS Snake wall list

    So after a bit of talk with Chris welfare on the what's app group. I came to this list.

    So i got a big wall that will mass MW anything that approach, and some Endless spell with a teleporting Starpriest. skinks will screen sides if needed.
    Concept is anything in combat with one of the basti will be in range of the ark of the 2 others, meaning 6 MW each COMBAT PHASE. Anything non hordes might think about it. Also 2 basti will have 3+ rerollable and the last one mystic shield. Also geminids will help those surviving.
    Will test it against SCE Friday !

    Looks like a fun list. Why the double Skink Starpriest instead of two more Sallies? Just to help casting the endless spells?

    Well initially , got 4 sallys and no additionnal Priest + Pendulum. I added a priest and pendulum for potential teleport and damage :D Not sure what is best

    I like at least one Skink Starpriest. The extra Wizards is nice and Summon Starlight is extremely strong.

    Hey there, first test on the field of the Ark. Was against 1500 pts sylvaneth on the heroes / behemoth control scenario.

    We played Vanguard restriction so i got 2 basti with arks, 4 salies 30 skinks 2 starpriest, a slann and some endless. My oponent got Durthu, Treelord ancient, some dryads, branchwhych/wraith and some kurnoths.

    To sum up. the basti bro tanked from turn 1 to 3 the 2 Trees. Finally killing durthu and putting Ancient to 10 w before he fled. However one was killed when Durthu finally found a hole in their defence. The MW before he hits allow me to never see that flat damage sword <3.
    they did consistent damage, and it ramp up fast !

    Then the survivor got teleported near THE wood, 10 dryads, the 2 branch and some tree revenants. Snakes got the branchwraith that was wounded and gave me victory cuz i got no other way to get the objectives back. Also he spread MW very well ( 4 units in the 8 inch <3)
    They gave me the game, and they were'nt in Thunderquake.

    Look forward to test !

    2nd update after other games :

    > First one , Stormcast ( vanguards ) + Seraphon vs StormCast + Nurgle ( 2*1000 vs 2*1000)
    Got 2 ark bastiladons here, they made the game for us , the first one killed 2 chars / half a marauder horde and 2 fulminator, the other one Hold a GUO, 5 blightking while killing 20 Plaguebearers. In the end we lost in objectives but they did a wonderfull work while being separated all along.

    > 2nd one : Seraphon vs Sylvaneth ( 1500 )
    Got 2 basti arks and a thunderquake vs the classic 2 trees ( ancient / durthu ) lots of dryads , the double Branch and a unit of bow kurnoth . Hard game because whenever i can catch them they fly away. In the end i can catch both big trees with the whole batallion and managed to kill the Ancient, So much mortal wound ! I won by an inch the game.

    > 3rd one : Seraphon vs Phoenix temple ( 2000 )
    1 thunderquake ( double Ark ) + one Arkiladon. Against me 3 blocks of Phoenix guard , 3 frost phoenix and Aventis. Gave him first turn to plan double turn. He placed poorly and i got it. So turn 2 we got 20 Phoenix guards, aventis and 2 phoenixes stuck with 3 Arkiladon and an Engine. that just sealed the gam as he killed only one basti ( god they are so tanky with the heal and the 3+ rerollable ) Also the 4+ ward helps them so much to deal with the 2/3 mortals each combat. Win

    So to me aside the little randomness which decrease so much if you face 3+ units ( fairly common ) they are an absolute pain to face. They can tank they world. The 2 Downside are that the battalion have to stick together. However you dont have to chose between using their tankyness but dont chose the target ( Crystal version) or the opposite ^^
    Also they are very slow but Double teleport helps.
    Will face Nighthaunt and stormcast next weeks and give update

    Well, sounds like you have something.
    Nice idea, indeed. A pity (?) I've got only 2 basti w ark, but that's still good, it seems

    [​IMG] Here is one of the clusterfuck from my yesterday game. ( the engine against Aventis is a basti proxy, got 2 more to build ^^)

    I actually tried summoning just one basti with snakes in yesterday in a 2v2 (4x 1k) battle were it was Nurgle + Seraphon vs. Stormcast + Stormcast.

    The basti really did well and it was a pleasure to actually be able to damage dracoths with their +3 save rerolling ones as well as Vandus with +2 rerolling ones :)

    Yea it's weird being able to do MW as seraphon :D
    Btw, will face Nighthaunt tonight, trying to take photos for a battle report !
