Does faction scenery cost any points? If not, when going to a competitive tournament, is there a limit on how much faction scenery I bring or does it depend on the tournament?
You usually get to place faction specific scenery for free, but only a fixed number. Beastmen cannot have more than one herd stone for example.
@forlustria if they did that it would be the best/worst thing for me bc I'd have no one to split that box with! Lmao
As much as I still want to believe it, a few of the admins on TGA were involved in the playtesting of AoS and AoS 2.0. If they are saying straight up that this dude is full of shit, i'd probably lean more towards them than otherwise. Regardless, an updated book, some terrain, endless spells, and cards doesn't seem like the most outlandish thing i've ever seen speculated. I've had my fingers permanently crossed for beefier carno's with some rend -2 or -3 and a slight buff on my Saurus I've been waiting for Saurus to get some love for 15 years -_-
Also from warhammer community, big big big announce thursday from LVO , maybe other FEC or Skaven things, maybe the famous Endless spell generic , or something else ....
I think, Flesh Eaters battletome is a good sign anyway. It shows, that older battletome indeed getting updated.
True but if they are close to gw they may have had gw asking them to shut the guy down. There have been multiple reports of the first wave battletomes being redone. March maybe too soon but I reckon we will have one byvthe end of the year
some of those fake (?) rumors sound also truly credible. for example, different abilities for skinks army, saurus army and mixed army would be perfectly aligned with the actual direction taken by GW in new battletomes
I could see them being true for sure, minus the time line lol. With the Skaven book I think we'll get a good idea on how ours could go. Even Flesh Eater Courts are getting "sub-factions" so the constellation part sounds like a good thing! Spawning pools would be great but imagine if we had a temple ship!!!!
I keep seeing Kroak with his mask over his forehead... I think I did mine wrong... he's actually wearing it lol
Make the Oldblood's carnosaur hit on 3s with -2 rend (both claws AND jaws), make his Sunbolt Gauntlet do D3 mortals in the shooting phase to a unit within 12" (D6 against daemons) instead of a mediocre shooting attack. Then make his save a 3+. Mark him up 100-140 points for balance and call it done. Make Saurus generals an absolute terror on the battlefield, as they are supposed to be.
I'd avoid buffing em to the point such massive point increases are needed. One of the draws of our army is fielding multiple big dinosaurs, making them more expensive kinda ruins that…
Yeah, but I figure that's what Scar Veterans are for. I just feel like we should be incentivized to take a hero other than a Slann as the general in the interest of diversity. I totally agree with your point - I just don't think an Oldblood should fit the mold of our other more 'spammable' dinos.
Fair enough, to be honest I'd love to get some "minor" big dinosaurs so we can spam those and have the heroes versions be fairly expensive then would work well enough.
GW really went fast with the skaven and Flesh eaters release. Maybe this is their normal pace of post on the community page to pre-order but it feels like it was a week quicker and 2 battletomes at once! Makes me confident we will see Seraphon w/ Some other army getting a similar treatment in the next 5ish months. As for people saying they are not building or already panicking about what they built no longer being the most optimal build, that aint healthy. Who knows how things will end up so no reason to rip your hair out. If you wanna hold off on building go for it, but who knows how long till the battletome comes out.
