    Almost!

It's white spray, then Fuegan Orange 50/50 with Lahmian medium and then Highlighted with Pallid Witch Flesh.

Then as I wanted more contrast used some Flesh Wash Ink from Vallejo GC to strengthen some of the shadows.

Not pictured is a final Highlight of pure white very sparingly .

The wings are the same (drybrushed the highlights) plus some Carrobough Crimson over the top very selectively in several passes, very similar to how I painted the Green Knight actually. Then again not pictured is a final edge highlighting with Pallid Witch Flesh over that.

Hopefully I can take some pictures of the finished bird today

    UPDATE!

Well, I managed to get some painting done this morning and got some pictures too! Only a feather and some final highlights on the claws to go!

I would like to use this last picture to talk about balancing a paintjob and colour theory. I like to use accent colours to balance my painjobs, in this case my main problem was that this particular colour scheme is just too red, it would be extremely unbalanced and i wasn't really sure that it worked. So I needed to balance it.

There are two main colours in it, Desaturated Orange and a Pink Red. The Orange part is easy as my Skinks are a very light Teal and that is the direct opposite, still I added the same blue to the eye for several reasons, first it looks very good, secondly I painted ALL my creature eyes the same blue, so it helps unify the army. In addition instead of painting the claws bone I chose to do them in a cold black to help balance even more the whole piece.

Once we have the Orange sorted there is the problem of the MASSIVE pink wings, the only thing I have is the feathers, problem is all my army has the same feather colours, yellow with dark green stripes, and what I dont need is Yellow, so I decided to go with Lime Green feathers, that would compliment perfectly the pink but left one feather of the 4 I have to be painted in the same scheme as the rest of the army.

Hope you like him and that bit of inside into my thinking behind the choice of colours

Hi @Itepixcauh. First, I could/should "like" every single image in this blog... and I might go back and do that. :D Wonderful work!

I have a VERY naive question I wanted to ask; particularly about your skink skin breakdown. I see you use medium in most of your layers. Do you also use water to thin your paints? To make them flow better? For example, after the Baharroth Blue layer, you do a wash of Temple Guard Blue & Medium. Is that wash mixed with water or is it just paint and medium? Additionally, you use Baharroth and Ulthuan Grey to highlight at the end. No mention of medium, so it's just watered down, yes?

    Thank you.

When I do washes I NEVER use water, NEVER. Water does some weird things to paint if you add too much and water and washes don't mix well together at all, water disrupts the chemistry on the washes and they start to dry in weird ways. When I add medium I only add medium, that's it's function. When I'm doing layers or highlighting i use water of course, just so that paint flows nicely and smooth. That being said if i'm doing a glaze i sometimes add medium on top of water to prevent splitting.

    Hope that helps!

@Burwinkelito asked me in a PM how I painted the Terradon so I thought it would be better to share the recipe here for everyone to see, I will do part by part, in the order I do it on the model

    Membrane:

    - Basecoat with Rakarth Flesh
    - Wash with Seraphim Sepia
    - Drybrush of Rakarth Flesh
    - Drybrush of Pallid Witch Flesh
    - Apply Athonian Camoshade in all the places where the membranes meet the flesh and in the union of different parts of membranes, feather the wash out into the main surface with a clean damp brush, this makes and instant and perfect gradient. Work section by section, be fast or the wash will start to dry and leave tide marks. Some painters use Two brushes for this technique, I never got the hang of it, too clumsy.
    - Edge Highlight the texture and edges with Pallid Witch Flesh
    - Green dots are just Biel-Tan Green (LOVE that paint)

    Skin:

    - Basecoat with Elysian Green
    - Wash with Athonian Camoshade
    - Elysian Green again, leave the wash in the recesses
    - Highlight with Ogryn Cammo
    - Glaze the whole thing with Lamenters Yellow
    - Final Highlight of Ogryn Cammo again
    - Glaze in colour variation with Biel-Tan Green, I apply the wash were I want the colour and feather it out with a clean damp brush immediately to smooth out the transition. Same technique as in the wings, love to Glaze with washes, fast, easy and great results.

    Eyes:

    - Basecoat with Baharroth Blue
    - Wash with Guilliman Blue
    - Baharroth Blue again
    - Highlight with Ulthuan Grey

    Claws:

    - Stormvermin Fur as Base
    - Wash with Nuln Oil
    - Stormvermin Fur again
    - Highlight with Karak Stone
    - Final Highlight with Ushabti Bone

Open Mouth (actually for almost all my models, except for the Razordon, including Skinks)

    - Screamer Pink
    - Wash Agrax Earthsade
    - Screamer Pink once again
    - Edge Highlight with Pink Horror
    - Extreme Highlight with Fulgrim Pink

    Hope that helps!

I will probably use that paint scheme for a Stegadon. I like those colors. :)

First of all, sorry for double post,
@Itepixcauh could you edit and add the mouth and the tongue colours of the one with the mouth open? I'm bad with colours and having some reference would be really helpful
