alrighty, My first "true" swamp base is done, the others are swamp/jungle: sorry about your mushrooms crowsfoot but they sure do look good on my base xD the water stuff is still drying btw it takes like 10 hours
My brother bought some dryads and other slyvaneth things but has never came round to doing them so he let me use some of the various creatures and skulls for my swamp bases This is a comparison of my work now and my work 4 years ago, After making this monstrosity and giving up on the araknorock spider i quit for like 3 years xD I brought this abomination from the warp out to see if I can "salvage" any of the spiders or skulls and that kinda thing
Managed to get 3 fully formed spiders and 2 "mutated" ones I mean If I could have got anything from that thing its a success
the skinks get more detailed every time.. still not happy with the Itza symbol but meh... anyways I'm changing the crest in all the others to look like this
Finished the skink On the swamp base, the water looks a lot better once dried. this might be one of my favs due to the mushrooms, Im going to add a little flying creature onto it soon , so I will post another picture or two once that's done. Im also loving painting the mushrooms because you can do any colour and make them unique
When I ordered all my stuff to do the 'true swamp bases' I also ordered a massive chunk of cork. after a bit of work I was able to get a nice looking bit off and paint it up, the stuff on the top should dry all cracked and dry. If I throw 4 or 5 bases like this into the mix of 45 it will add a lot of variation
Its a shame school starts tomorrow so I won't have as many posts and will probs only get like 2 or 3 skinks done during 5 days D:
I really like your work and progress-speed, very productive. I'm struggeling to find some time to look at my models Let alone paint some Stuff Keep up the good work Gr, Imrahil
Thanks for the kind words, I think once you start getting into the rhythm of painting daily it gets a lot easier
