I'd very much doubt that the rules were intended to allow you to attack opponents through a solid wall… Seems more like the type of thing that's assumed Obvious but there's Always that one guy that goes like "well RAW it doesn't say I can't do this, so let's try it and see if I get away with it". And given the general lack of terrain, and especially smaller obstacles in the battlereports or pictures of tournaments I see in white dwarf and such it's probably a rare enough occurance that noone has bothered asking for a F.A.Q. yet.
Ok guys, back to the "rumor" stuff i can see seraphon a bit like skaven: spawning pool models like the teleport terrain from them updated war scrolls, especially for ALL saurus models. Kroxigors need a big change, i dont know how exactly, but they have to change classic for the updates are new heros, so maybe a new hero on a terradon maybe a new skink hero, but not a caster i would LOVE a kroxigor hero! that would be a beast if we get new models, which i doubt a bit, it could be something like heavy cavallery. say: temple guards on mini triceratops! Bääm! you have walking tanks! of course 3 endless spells maybe something like a ghost dinosaur ( a ghost dread ! even i would be scared ) maybe spells with some natur theme, earthquake, lightning, wildfire, could be everything maybe something more in the aztec theme: sunbeam, magic weapons from the past, again could be everything
Kroxigors biggest issue is there lack of wounds, if they were bumped to 6 they would be excellent. The current models are ok, but not particularly remarkable. They are fast though.
My Problem with the Kroxigors are a lot of things. jep, they have a move "8", thats nice only the moonhammer has rend, thats a bit.... i dont know.... a freeguild guard blocks a hammer the size of a tree with his shield? i dont think so, just my opinion. 160 points is a lot, and they dont bring it back in any way. not damage, not durability, not range. not worse summoning either. sounds like they werde designed to counter hordes, see moonhammer, but they cant do that. because of all this reasons i see a rework on them on our next update
To be honest kroxigor mostly just feel horrificly outdated and outdone by powercreep. Just upping the numbers there would already get is a long way. Also the moonhammer needs to work more efficiently, the range isn't that big so you're never going to realisticly get more than 4-5 models in range unless your opponent is so kind as to completly surround the model with the moonhammer. Which makes it feel rather unimpressive as far as "anti-horde" goes.
Give them slighty bigger models too, all the new factions seem to have a medium size 3+ unit I think kroxigor that for us.
kroxigor are on 50mm bases atm, which I believe is what Troggoths and the like are currently on. I suppose they could be closer to a Stormfiend though.
i think the same. Stormfiends and Kroxigors are very similiar, but stormfiends are terrifying and kroxigors are "in the way". would fell good if the opponent has to deal with them before they wipe out something. today is more like: Aaaaaaah Kroxigors, lets kill them. Not because i have to, just why i can
i looked a bit for the idea of saurus guards on triceratops and found the perfect dinosaur: zuniceratops its like half the size of a triceratops with one horn. would be so cool!!!
this could be a really cool unit. 3 wounds, 3+ save and a lot of weapon choices. of course not cheap in points but thats fair. and we would have a second option for firelance!!!! saurus guards in firelance with 6s to hit give MW!!! i know i got to much hyped and it will never happen.... i dont care, i love dinos so much
Kroxigor food for thought.... Troglodon is worth the same number of points. a unit of three Kroxigor and a Trog have the same number of wounds, and are both immune to battle shock. moon hammer and vice jaws have rend for the Krox, Trog has nothing with rend. at full health the Trog is slightly better with its attacks due to 6 attacks on venomous bite wounding on 2+. but just one profile in and the damage output is roughly the same because of the Kroxigor 12 attacks each with the maul. (I'm including rough math for vice and spittle to average out the damage potential. emphasis on the ROUGH, I am not a math major lol) Trog give a dispel, battleshock debuff, and Slann casting range increase. Krox have a "fun" mini game for mortal wounds that potentially results in a hit on 6 doing no damage at all..... cant really argue for the krox as is other than that they don't eat up a behemoth slot.
